Abstract

PT. Lamong Energi Indonesia merupakan anak perusahaan dari PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong yang bergerak di bidang penyediaan ketenagalistrikan dan utilitas pelabuhan. Salah satu fasilitas yang dikelola adalah Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mesin Gas (PLTMG) berkapasitas 6,6 MW yang berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan listrik Terminal Teluk Lamong, terutama saat terjadi beban puncak. Untuk menjaga keandalan dan efisiensi operasional pembangkit, diperlukan sistem perawatan yang terukur dan terencana. Salah satu metode yang digunakan dalam mengukur tingkat keandalan peralatan adalah analisis Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). Kegiatan magang ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mempelajari dan menganalisis sistem perawatan yang diterapkan pada Unit 1 PLTMG di PT. Lamong Energi Indonesia, serta menghitung nilai MTBF sebagai indikator tingkat keandalan peralatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara dengan pihak terkait, serta dokumentasi riwayat kerusakan dan downtime unit. Selain itu, penulis turut terlibat dalam kegiatan operasional seperti proses start-up dan shutdown PLTMG, pemeriksaan sistem pendingin, pengecekan sistem pelumasan, serta pemantauan distribusi energi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, perhitungan MTBF mampu memberikan gambaran terhadap tingkat keandalan unit pembangkit, serta menjadi acuan dalam evaluasi dan peningkatan strategi perawatan baik secara preventif maupun korektif. Dengan penerapan sistem perawatan yang baik, diharapkan frekuensi gangguan dapat diminimalkan dan ketersediaan pembangkit tetap optimal. Kegiatan magang ini juga memberikan pengalaman langsung di dunia industri, sehingga penulis dapat mengaplikasikan pengetahuan akademik secara nyata dan meningkatkan pemahaman terkait proses operasional di bidang ketenagalistrikan.

PT. Lamong Energi Indonesia is a subsidiary of PT. Terminal Teluk Lamong engaged in providing electricity and utility services for port operations. One of the facilities managed is a 6.6 MW Gas Engine Power Plant (PLTMG), which plays a vital role in fulfilling the electricity demands of Terminal Teluk Lamong, especially during peak load conditions. To ensure the reliability and efficiency of the power plant's operations, a structured and well-planned maintenance system is essential. One method used to assess equipment reliability is the analysis of the Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). This internship was carried out with the objective of studying and analyzing the maintenance system implemented on PLTMG Unit 1 at PT. Lamong Energi Indonesia, as well as calculating the MTBF value as an indicator of equipment reliability. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, interviews with relevant personnel, and documentation of equipment failure history and unit downtime. In addition, the intern was directly involved in operational activities such as the start-up and shutdown processes of the PLTMG, inspection of the cooling system, examination of the lubrication system, and monitoring of the energy distribution process. The results of the analysis show that the MTBF calculation provides a clear overview of the power plant unit's reliability and serves as a reference for evaluating and improving preventive and corrective maintenance strategies. With the implementation of a proper maintenance system, it is expected that the frequency of failures can be minimized and the availability of the power plant can be maintained optimally. This internship also provided hands-on industrial experience, allowing the intern to apply academic knowledge in real-world conditions and to deepen understanding of operational processes in the field of power generation.
