Abstract

Pada era industri 4.0 yang ditandai oleh perkembangan teknologi digital yang cepat, UMKM (Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah) menghadapi tantangan dan peluang yang tak tertandingi dalam transformasi bisnis mereka. Transformasi digital telah menjadi imperatif bagi kelangsungan dan pertumbuhan UMKM di tengah persaingan global yang semakin sengit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi adopsi teknologi blockchain, serta mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap kinerja dan keberlanjutan UMKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan grounded theory yang mencakup aspek-aspek beragam yang memengaruhi adopsi blockchain UMKM. Penentuan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sementara pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview) dan pengumpulan dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber data untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor kunci yang memengaruhi kesiapan UMKM dalam menghadapi era industri 4.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) dan Technology- Organization-Environment (TOE) untuk menganalisis tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi UMKM dalam adopsi teknologi blockchain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UMKM menghadapi tantangan utama berupa keterbatasan modal, sumber daya manusia, dan infrastruktur, serta tingginya biaya implementasi. Di sisi lain, teknologi blockchain menawarkan peluang signifikan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, keamanan data, dan transparansi transaksi. Faktor internal (modal, kesiapan teknologi) dan eksternal (tekanan konsumen, supplier, dan kompetitor) terbukti memengaruhi keputusan adopsi blockchain. Selain itu, persepsi manfaat dan kemudahan penggunaan teknologi menjadi faktor penentu dalam meningkatkan minat UMKM untuk mengadopsi blockchain.

In the era of Industry 4.0, characterized by rapid advancements in digital technology, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) face unparalleled challenges and opportunities in transforming their businesses. Digital transformation has become imperative for the survival and growth of MSMEs amidst increasingly intense global competition. This study aims to identify the challenges and opportunities, analyze the factors influencing the adoption of blockchain technology, and evaluate its impact on the performance and sustainability of MSMEs. This research employs a qualitative method with a grounded theory approach, encompassing various aspects affecting the blockchain adoption of MSMEs. The sample was determined using purposive sampling, while data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and document analysis. Data analysis employed source triangulation to identify key factors influencing MSME readiness in addressing the challenges of Industry 4.0. The study applied the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Technology-Organization- Environment (TOE) framework to analyze the challenges and opportunities faced by MSMEs in adopting blockchain technology. The findings reveal that MSMEs face significant challenges, including limited capital, human resources, and infrastructure, as well as high implementation costs. On the other hand, blockchain technology offers substantial opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, data security, and transaction transparency. Internal factors (capital, technological readiness) and external factors (pressure from consumers, suppliers, and competitors) are shown to influence MSME decisions to adopt blockchain. Additionally, perceived benefits and ease of use are critical determinants in increasing MSME interest in adopting blockchain technology.
