Abstract
Peningkatan kebutuhan garam farmasi di Indonesia terus mengalami pertumbuhan signifikan, terutama dalam industri farmasi untuk pembuatan infus, cairan hemodialisa, dan produk kesehatan lainnya. Namun, sebagian besar kebutuhan ini masih dipenuhi melalui impor karena pasokan domestik yang terbatas. Untuk mengurangi ketergantungan impor, direncanakan pembangunan pabrik garam farmasi dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar 2000 ton/tahun. Pabrik ini akan berlokasi di Kota Cilegon, Banten, yang strategis karena dekat dengan sumber bahan baku, memiliki akses transportasi yang baik untuk distribusi, aksesibilitas tenaga kerja yang mudah, serta jarak yang dekat dengan perusahaan pengguna produk. Proses produksi menggunakan metode hydro-extraction dengan kemurnian produk garam farmasi di atas 99,8%. Produksi garam farmasi dijalankan dengan menggunakan bahan baku garam rakyat. Pemurnian dilakukan dengan pencucian bahan baku garam rakyat dengan larutan garam jenuh yang dibuat dari garam industri 96% dengan rasio 1:2. Garam juga dimurnikan lebih lanjut melalui tahap pengendapan pengotor. Tahap ini dilakukan dengan pereaksian oleh bahan baku pendukung NaOH, Na2CO3, dan BaCl2 pada proses koagulasi dan bahan baku pendukung PAC pada proses sedimentasi. Larutan garam yang telah dimurnikan kemudian dikristalisasi dan dikeringkan melalui bantuan magma crystallizer, rotary drum dryer, dan rotary drum cooler. Garam yang sudah kering kemudian distandarisasi ukurannya sebelum didistribusikan. Pabrik ini nantinya akan beroperasi selama 330 hari kerja per tahunnya pada usia pabrik selama 15 tahun. Dengan laju pengembalian modal sebesar 12,366% dan waktu pengembalian modal selama 3 tahun 2 bulan, pabrik ini layak untuk didirikan.

The demand for pharmaceutical salt in Indonesia continues to grow significantly, especially in the pharmaceutical industry for the manufacture of infusions, hemodialysis fluids, and other health products. However, most of these needs are still met through imports due to limited domestic supply. To reduce import dependency, the construction of a pharmaceutical salt plant with a production capacity of 2000 tons/year is planned. The plant will be located in Cilegon City, Banten, which is strategic because it is close to the source of raw materials, has good transportation access for distribution, easy labor accessibility, and close proximity to product user companies. The production process uses the hydro-extraction method with pharmaceutical salt product purity above 99.8%. Pharmaceutical salt production is carried out using raw materials from the people's salt. Purification is carried out by washing the raw material with a saturated salt solution made from 96% industrial salt in a ratio of 1:2. The salt is also further purified through the impurity precipitation stage. This stage is carried out by reacting with supporting raw materials NaOH, Na2CO3, and BaCl2 in the coagulation process and supporting raw materials PAC in the sedimentation process. The purified salt solution is then crystallized and dried through the help of a magma crystallizer, rotary drum dryer, and rotary drum cooler. The dried salt is then standardized in size before distribution. The plant will operate for 330 working days per year at a plant life of 15 years. With a payback rate of 12.366% and a payback period of 3 years and 2 months, this plant is feasible to establish.
