Abstract

PT Semen Tonasa adalah salah satu produsen semen terbesar di Indonesia dengan empat unit produksi, yaitu unit II, III, IV, dan V. Lebih dari 80% kapasitas produksi perusahaan berasal dari unit IV dan V sebagai unit produksi yang paling besar. Beroperasi pada tahun 1990, sistem kelistrikan unit IV sudah banyak dilakukan modifikasi dengan mengkonfigurasi-kan motor-motor berdaya besar dan Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), menyebabkan permasalahan kualitas daya berupa harmonisa melebihi standar IEEE 519 yang berisiko merusak peralatan di unit IV. Oleh sebab itu, perlu mitigasi harmonisa agar distorsi yang terjadi di Unit IV Semen Tonasa sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan pada IEEE 519. Penelitian ini diusulkan untuk melakukan Desain dan Penempatan Optimal Filter Harmonisa Menggunakan Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) pada filter pasif single-tuned dengan fungsi objektif utama adalah pengurangan rugi-rugi daya. Parameter Total Harmonic Distortion Tegangan (THDv) dan Individual Harmonic Distortion Tegangan (IHDv), dan perbaikan level tegangan akan menjadi parameter validasi efektifitas filter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan WOA mampu menempatkan filter di bus yang optimal dengan batasan tegangan dan kompensasi daya reaktif dalam sesuai standar yang ditetapkan sehingga berhasil menurunkan kerugian daya sebesar 106 kW, serta memperbaiki nilai THDv hingga 79% pada Point of Common Coupling (PCC).

PT Semen Tonasa is one of the largest cement producers in Indonesia, with four production units: Unit II, III, IV, and V. More than 80% of the company's production capacity comes from Units IV and V as the largest productions unit. Established in 1990, the electrical system in Unit IV has undergone significant modifications, configuring high-power motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), leading to power quality issues in the form of harmonics that exceed the IEEE 519 standard, risking damage to equipment in Unit IV. Therefore, harmonic mitigation is necessary to ensure that the distortion in Unit IV of Semen Tonasa complies with IEEE 519 standard. This study proposes the Design and Optimal Placement of Harmonic Filters Using the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA) in the electrical system of PT Semen Tonasa Unit IV, covering single-tuned passive filters, with the main objective of reducing power losses. The parameters of Total Harmonic Distortion Voltage (THDv), Individual Harmonic Distortion Voltage (IHDv), and voltage profile improvement will be used as validation parameters for the effectiveness of the filters. The results show that WOA successfully places filters at optimal buses, adhering to voltage and reactive power compensation constraints as per the established standards, thereby reducing power losses by 106 kW and improving THDv by 79% at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC).
