Abstract

This research aims to characterize the structure and reservoir properties within the carbonate interval of the Minahaki Formation at the OKT Field, Banggai–Sula Basin, through the integration of 3D PSTM (Post-Stack Time Migration) seismic data and data from two wells (OKT-1 and OKT-2). The study utilizes secondary data sources, including well logs, stratigraphic markers, and checkshot data, without direct field measurements. The methodological workflow comprises horizon interpretation, construction of time and depth structure maps, time-to-depth conversion using non-linear regression functions calibrated to checkshot data, interval thickness analysis, and reservoir characterization via crossplots of petrophysical parameters (porosity, gamma ray, and acoustic impedance). An initial subsurface impedance model was developed as the basis for model-based inversion, enabling detailed visualization of lateral and vertical variations in rock properties. The results of this study indicate that seismic and well log integration at wells OKT-1 and OKT-2 was successfully performed through a well-seismic tie, achieving high correlation values of 0.93 and 0.95, respectively. This enabled precise identification of the Top Minahaki and Top Matindok horizons. Time structure, depth structure, and isochore maps were generated, with a structural high (anticline) in the northwest identified as the most prospective area for hydrocarbon accumulation, and maximum interval thickness exceeding 400 ft in the southeast. Model-based acoustic impedance inversion revealed low IA values ±25,000–30,000 g·ft/(cm³·s) within the target interval, with a relative misfit of –12.77 dB and energy error of 5.28%, indicating high accuracy and the presence of porous zones with reservoir potential.
