Abstract
Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan wilayah Jabodetabek, kebutuhan akan infrastruktur telekomunikasi yang handal dan mampu mendukung konektivitas tinggi semakin mendesak. Jaringan backbone berbasis fiber optik menjadi solusi yang ideal untuk memenuhi permintaan layanan data yang cepat, stabil, dan berkualitas tinggi di kawasan ini. Fiber optik dipilih sebagai media transmisi utama karena kemampuannya menyediakan kapasitas bandwidth yang besar, latensi yang rendah, serta keandalan yang jauh lebih baik dibandingkan dengan teknologi transmisi konvensional lainnya. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini dilakukan perencanaan jaringan dengan menghubungkan antar Stasiun Telepon Otomat (STO) milik PT Telkom Indonesia di beberapa kawasan di Jabodetabek dengan total 24 Jalur. Perencanaan ini meliputi beberapa komponen seperti transmitter, receiver, splice, dan konektor. Perencanaan ini membagi 2 skema yaitu backbone dalam kota menggunakan kabel G652.D dan backbone antar kota dengan menggunakan kabel G655. Untuk menilai visibilitas hasil perencanaan jaringan, dilakukan analisis terhadap berbagai kinerja jaringan fiber optik, meliputi kelayakan dari sisi power link budget, rise time budget, dan bit error rate (BER). Penelitian menggunakan berbagai perangkat lunak seperti Google Earth Pro dan Optisystem. Selain itu, untuk pengolahan data, digunakan Microsoft Excel. Dilakukan perhitungan jarak, uji kelayakan melalui perhitungan power link budget, perhitungan rise time budget, dan pengukuran Bit Error Rate melalui aplikasi simulasi Optisystem. Dari keseluruhan tahapan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk memenuhi kebutuhan perencanaan backbone Jabodetabek ini diperlukan 48 konektor, 80 splice, dan total panjang kabel optik sepanjang 365.293 Km. dan setelah dilakukan pengukuran terhadap setiap sistem, dapat disimpulkan bahwa semua link pada kawasan Jabodetabek memiliki link yang baik karena nilai BER < 10-12

Along with the rapid development of the Jabodetabek area, the need for reliable telecommunications infrastructure that can support high connectivity is increasingly urgent. Fiber optic-based backbone networks are the ideal solution to meet the demand for fast, stable, and high-quality data services in this area. Fiber optics are chosen as the main transmission media because of their ability to provide large bandwidth capacity, low latency, and much better reliability compared to other conventional transmission technologies. In this Final Project, network planning is carried out by connecting between PT Telkom Indonesia's Automatic Telephone Stations (STO) in several areas in Jabodetabek with a total of 24 Lines. This planning includes several components such as transmitters, receivers, splices, and connectors. This planning divides 2 schemes, namely the inner-city backbone using G652.D cables and inter-city backbones using G655 cables. To assess the visibility of the network planning results, an analysis of various fiber optic network performances is carried out, including the feasibility of the power link budget, rise time budget, and bit error rate (BER). The study uses various software such as Google Earth Pro and Optisystem. In addition, Microsoft Excel is used for data processing. Distance calculations, feasibility tests through power link budget calculations, rise time budget calculations, and Bit Error Rate measurements through the Optisystem simulation application were carried out. From all stages of this research, it can be concluded that to meet the needs of the Jabodetabek backbone planning 48 connectors, 80 splices, and a total length of optical cable of 365,293 km are needed. and after measurements were taken on each system, it can be concluded that all links in the Jabodetabek area have good links because the BER value is <10-12
