Abstract

Sistem kelistrikan PT.

The electrical system of PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur Factory 3 has a vital role in supporting the continuity of production operations. The implementation of interconnection between generators in each factory provides efficiency benefits, but also increases vulnerability to external disturbances that have the potential to cause system instability, especially in transient stability. This study aims to analyze the defense scheme applied in the electrical system of Factory 3 in dealing with external disturbances. With a reliable scheme system, the factory can restore system stability quickly, minimize the risk of unwanted trips and blackouts, and ensure continuity of energy supply. The research method involves electrical system simulation using ETAP software to model external disturbances. The analysis was carried out to measure the system frequency response, the effectiveness of the defense scheme in maintaining system stability to maintain reliability and respond to frequency drops, and the effect of the load shedding scheme. The study was conducted with a defense scheme using a status scheme and under frequency relay using the IEEE standard as a backup. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the defense scheme design applied to the electrical system at PT. East Kalimantan Fertilizer Factory 3 to ensure reliability and accuracy in dealing with transient disturbances and preventing the spread of disturbances to other factory units.
