Abstract

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, with Indonesia being among the affected countries. The lack of outpatient monitoring for heart disease patients in Indonesia has become a serious issue, as inadequate management by healthcare providers can increase the risk of death due to complications. To address this, this final project proposes an Android-based application connected to a wearable device as a real-time heart rate monitoring tool for heart disease patients, utilizing the pulse heart rate (BPM) sensor available on wearable devices. The monitoring system between heart disease outpatients and healthcare providers will be developed using the SDLC waterfall method, integrating wearable device data with a Firebase server in real time. The data is transmitted via BLE to an Android application. The Application aims to facilitate real-time monitoring while ensuring ease of access for patients and healthcare providers, offering a user-friendly interface. With this application, it is also hoped that the monitoring process for outpatient heart disease patients will be more effective, responsive, and can reduce the risk of complications through early detection based on real-time data.
