Abstract

Gempa bumi besar yang baru terjadi di Indonesia masih menimbulkan tingginya jumlah korban jiwa dan kerusakan infrastruktur meskipun telah dilakukan studi dan evaluasi terhadap gempa-gempa sebelumnya. Gaya lateral akibat gempa bumi adalah beban yang paling menentukan dalam perencanaan bangunan tahan gempa. Penting untuk menerapkan sistem struktur yang mampu menahan gaya lateral seperti sistem ganda (dual system) yaitu kombinasi dari sistem dinding geser dan rangka pemikul momen yang bekerja bersama. Di Indonesia, sistem dinding geser yang umum digunakan adalah dinding geser beton bertulang atau reinforced concrete shear walls (RCSW). Salah satu sistem dinding geser yang sedang berkembang adalah dinding geser material baja, yang dikenal dengan diding geser pelat baja atau steel plate shear walls (SPSW). Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan studi komparasi antara sistem dinding geser beton bertulang dan sistem dinding geser pelat baja pada bangunan perkuliahan beton bertulang 12 lantai di Surabaya. Struktur akan dianalisis berdasarkan SNI 1726:2019 untuk diamati perbandingan periode struktur, base shear, dan story drift. Selanjutnya struktur dianalisis menggunakan analisis pushover untuk mengetahui tingkat kinerja struktur berdasarkan ASCE 41-17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur sistem SPSW lebih fleksibel dan memikul gaya lateral yang lebih sedikit dengan periode struktur lebih besar 4% pada arah X dan 17% pada arah Y, base shear lebih kecil 14% pada arah X dan 27% pada arah Y, serta story drift lebih besar pada lantai bawah dibandingkan dengan struktur eksisting dinding geser beton bertulang. Dari segi tingkat kinerja struktur, struktur sistem SPSW dan sistem dinding geser beton bertulang mencapai tingkat kinerja yang sama yaitu Immediate Occupancy (IO) pada gempa BSE-1E dan BSE-2E.

The recent major earthquake in Indonesia, despite previous studies and evaluations, still caused significant fatalities and infrastructure damage. The most determining loads in designing earthquake-resistant structures are lateral forces due to earthquakes. Therefore, it is essential to implement a structural system that can withstand lateral forces, such as a dual system, which combines a shear wall system and moment-resisting frames. In Indonesia, the commonly used shear wall system is reinforced concrete shear walls (RCSW). One of the shear wall systems currently developed is a shear wall made of steel material, also known as steel plate shear walls (SPSW). This research presents a comparative study of reinforced concrete shear wall systems and steel plate shear wall systems in a 12-story reinforced concrete university building in Surabaya. The analysis of the structure is based on SNI 1726:2019 to compare the structural period, base shear, and story drift. Furthermore, to determine its structural performance level, the structure will be analyzed using pushover analysis based on ASCE 41-17. The results showed that the SPSW system is more flexibel and withstands less lateral load with a larger structure period of 4% in the X direction and 17% in the Y direction, a smaller base shear of 14% in the X direction and 27% in the Y direction, and larger story drift in lower stories compared to the reinforced concrete shear walls structure. In terms of structural performance level, both the SPSW system structure and reinforced concrete shear walls system structure reached the Immediate Occupancy (IO) level in the BSE-1E and BSE-2E earthquakes.
