Abstract

The Open Access development is an oil distribution infrastructure project undertaken by one of the Indonesian companies operating in the oil and gas sector in Kasim. This construction is being built on an area of approximately 80 hectares. During its construction, there were geotechnical challenges, specifically the discrepancy between the foundation design of the pipe sleeper in the initial Front End Engineering Design (FEED) agreement and the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) outcomes. This issue arose because the pipe sleeper foundation design during FEED was based on soil data that was taken too far from the actual pipe location and did not comply with the minimum distance requirements of SNI 8460-2017, article 5.2.4.1.3, table 2. Currently, the pipe sleeper construction uses the shallow foundation design from FEED. However, as construction progressed, it was discovered that some differential settlement values between foundations did not meet the inclination requirement. So when planning DED for the construction of the next section, one of them was main sleeper 1 using land data from investigations by PT. Soilens is in accordance with 8460-2017, the foundation design changes to a deep foundation or minipile. Therefore, in this final project, it is necessary to analyze the reinforcement on the existing foundation that has been built and evaluate the planning of the existing foundation to find out whether the shallow FEED foundation design can still be used for the main sleeper 1 section that has not been built by referring to the correct soil data. If it turns out that the bearing capacity has not been met, additional reinforcement planning is needed. In addition, alternative foundation planning is needed using correct soil data in order to obtain a safe and strong plan. Finally, a material volume analysis is carried out to obtain the most effective planning when viewed in terms of material volume. From the results of the analysis of the existing foundations, sleepers 001–005 and 007 010 have met the bearing capacity without the need for repair, while sleeper 006 requires repair using the grouting method to increase the bearing capacity. The results of the analysis also show that there is a differential settlement that does not meet the requirements between sleepers 006 and 007, so repairs are planned using the in-between pile method with a 2x1 pile D350 configuration and an H-Beam 300x300x12x12 with a length of 8 meters for the portal. The initial FEED design for sleeper 011A–162 using a 1.5x1.5 m footplate was considered safe but overdesigned, so it was optimized to 1.4x1.4 m (sleeper 011A–020) and 1.3x1.3 m (sleeper 021–162). The results of the reanalysis showed that the optimized design was safe for bearing capacity and settlement and was more efficient in terms of material and cost.
