Abstract
Laporan ini membahas hasil kegiatan magang industri yang dilaksanakan di PT. GMF AeroAsia Tbk., cabang Bali, dengan fokus pada perawatan sistem Air Conditioning pesawat Boeing 737 800, khususnya saat komponen Standby Temperature Control Valve mengalami kondisi stuck close. Magang ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman praktis kepada mahasiswa serta memahami secara langsung penerapan teori teknik mesin industri dalam dunia kerja. Kegiatan magang dilaksanakan selama 18 minggu, mencakup pengenalan alat, prosedur pemeliharaan, inspeksi komponen pesawat, serta praktik perawatan sistem kelistrikan, hidrolik, dan pneumatic. Secara khusus, laporan ini meninjau cara kerja sistem Air Conditioning pada pesawat dan prosedur penanganan ketika terjadi malfungsi pada komponen Standby Temperature Control Valve. Melalui metode observasi langsung, praktik lapangan, dan pendampingan teknisi, penulis memperoleh pemahaman mengenai prosedur standar perawatan serta pentingnya keselamatan kerja dalam lingkungan MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul). Hasil magang menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan perawatan sangat ditentukan oleh pemahaman teknis terhadap komponen pesawat, pelaksanaan prosedur kerja sesuai standar, serta koordinasi antarunit kerja. Laporan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi mahasiswa lain serta memberikan masukan bagi perusahaan dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pemeliharaan pesawat.

This report presents the results of an industrial internship conducted at PT. GMF AeroAsia Tbk., Bali branch, focusing on the maintenance of the Air Conditioning system in Boeing 737-800 aircraft, particularly when the Standby Temperature Control Valve experiences a stuck close condition. The internship aimed to provide practical experience for students and to gain direct insight into the real-world application of industrial mechanical engineering principles. Conducted over 18 weeks, the internship activities included equipment familiarization, maintenance procedures, component inspections, and hands-on work involving electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Specifically, the report explores the operational mechanism of the aircraft Air Conditioning system and outlines the standard troubleshooting procedures for malfunctions in the Standby Temperature Control Valve. Through direct observation, fieldwork, and guidance from experienced engineers, the author acquired knowledge of maintenance protocols and the importance of safety in the aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment. The internship demonstrated that effective maintenance depends on technical understanding of aircraft components, adherence to standard operating procedures, and strong coordination between work units. This report is expected to serve as a reference for future students and to provide constructive feedback for the company in optimizing aircraft maintenance effectiveness.
