Abstract

The digital transformation of education demands teacher readiness as the key driver of effective technology-based learning. This study aims to analyze the readiness of teachers at SMA Yayasan Pupuk Kaltim in embracing digital transformation using the Task-Technology Fit (TTF) framework and Teaching Innovativeness model. It investigates the influence of task characteristics, technology characteristics, ICT proficiency, and co-creation attitudes on both task-technology fit and teaching innovativeness, and subsequently their impact on teacher readiness. A quantitative method was employed by distributing questionnaires to all active teachers at the school, with data analyzed using the PLS-SEM approach. The results reveal that five out of six hypothesized relationships are statistically significant, with teaching innovativeness emerging as the strongest predictor of teacher readiness, while task-technology fit did not significantly influence readiness directly. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening ICT competence, fostering collaborative culture, and promoting teaching innovation as strategic efforts to ensure successful digital transformation in education. Practical recommendations are also provided to support data-driven training and policy design in schools to enhance teacher preparedness in the digital era.
