Abstract

Lobster laut (Panulirus ornatus dan Panulirus homarus) merupakan komoditas unggulan perikanan bernilai tinggi, namun populasinya terancam akibat penangkapan berlebih. Budidaya menggunakan Keramba Jaring Apung (KJA) menjadi salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan produksi berkelanjutan. Cahaya sebagai faktor abiotik dapat memengaruhi sintasan dan pertumbuhan termasuk memengaruhi aktivitas fisiologis, hormon pertumbuhan, serta perilaku makan organisme akuatik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi lampu LED terhadap sintasan dan pertumbuhan juvenil P. ornatus dan P. homarus. Lampu yang digunakan adalah lampu LED yaitu dengan spektrum warna hijau dan putih dengan intensitas 1500lx dan daya 250watt, tanpa pencahayaan sebagai kontrol. Parameter yang diamati adalah sintasan dan pertumbuhan yang meliputi berat badan, panjang tubuh, panjang karapas, serta morfologi. Analisis data statistik dilakukan menggunakan ANOVA Oneway serta untuk mengetahui signifikansi antar perlakuan digunakan uji Tukey. Hasil sintasan juvenil lobster P. ornatus mencapai 100% pada seluruh perlakuan. Sementara itu, pada P. homarus, penurunan tingkat sintasan hanya terjadi pada perlakuan kontrol tanpa lampu dengan nilai 60%, sedangkan pada perlakuan lampu hijau dan lampu putih tingkat sintasan tetap mencapai 100%. Nilai pertambahan tertinggi yakni pada perlakuan lampu hijau dengan panjang total (PT); panjang karapas (PK); berat badan (BB) berturut-turut pada P. ornatus (PT=3,59 ± 0,52 cm; PK=0,93±0,32 cm; BB=9,64±1,34 g) dan P. homarus (PT=2,68 ± 0,46 cm; PK=0,91±0,04 cm; BB=19,83±1,20 g). Secara morfologi aplikasi pencahayaan dapat mengurangi abnormalitas. Pada perlakuan lampu hijau, P. homarus tidak menunjukkan abnormalitas dan P. ornatus hanya mengalami abnormalitas pleopod 20%. Sebaliknya, kontrol memiliki abnormalitas tinggi yakni P. homarus (antena 33%, periopod 100%, pleopod 60%) dan P. ornatus (periopod 40%, pleopod 60%). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pencahayaan spektrum hijau dan putih berpengaruh dapat meningkatkan sintasan lobster laut. Hasil uji ANOVA (p<0,05) menunjukkan adanya pengaruh lampu hijau dan putih terhadap peningkatan pertumbuhan lobster laut pada sistem budidaya KJA.

Spiny lobsters (Panulirus ornatus and Panulirus homarus) are high-value fishery commodities, but their populations are threatened by overfishing. Cultivation using Floating Net Cages (FNC) is one solution to increase sustainable production. Light, as an abiotic factor, can influence survival and growth, including affecting physiological activity, growth hormones, and feeding behaviour of aquatic organisms. This study aims to determine the effect of LED lighting on the survival and growth of juvenile P. ornatus and P. homarus. The lights used were LED lights with a green and white colour spectrum, an intensity of 1500 lux, and a power of 250 watts, and without lighting as a control. The parameters observed were survival and growth, including body weight, body length, carapace length, and morphology. Statistical data analysis was performed using One-way ANOVA, and Tukey's test was used to determine the significance between treatments. The survival rate of juvenile P. ornatus lobsters reached 100% in all treatments. Meanwhile, in P. homarus, a decrease in survival rate only occurred in the control treatment without lighting, with a value of 60%, while in the green light and white light treatments, the survival rate remained at 100%. The highest growth values were observed in the green light treatment, with total length (TL); carapace length (CL); and body weight (BW) respectively for P. ornatus (TL=3.59 ± 0.52 cm; PK=0.93±0.32 cm; BB=9.64±1.34 g) and P. homarus (PT=2.68 ± 0.46 cm; PK=0.91±0.04 cm; BB=19.83±1.20 g). Morphologically, lighting application can reduce abnormalities. In the green light treatment, P. homarus showed no abnormalities, and P. ornatus only exhibited 20% pleopod abnormalities. Conversely, the control group exhibited high abnormalities, with P. homarus showing 33% antenna abnormalities, 100% periopod abnormalities, and 60% pleopod abnormalities, and P. ornatus showing 40% periopod abnormalities and 60% pleopod abnormalities, as well as relatively lower growth performance. It can be concluded that both green and white light spectra can improve survival rates. The results of the ANOVA test (p<0.05) indicate that green and white lighting have an effect on improving the growth of spiny lobsters in the FNC aquaculture system.
