Abstract

Jabodebek merupakan salah satu kawasan metropolitan terbesar di Indonesia yang terus mengalami pertumbuhan pesat, baik dari segi jumlah penduduk maupun aktivitas ekonominya. Seiring dengan peningkatan mobilitas masyarakat, penggunaan kendaraan pribadi pun ikut meningkat, yang pada akhirnya menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan seperti kemacetan lalu lintas dan pencemaran lingkungan. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, pemerintah meluncurkan LRT Jabodebek sebagai salah satu alternatif transportasi umum berbasis rel yang diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi mobilitas perkotaan yang lebih efisien dan berkelanjutan.  Dalam upaya mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap kendaraan pribadi serta mendorong penggunaan moda transportasi umum yang berkelanjutan, pemerintah membangun sistem Lintas Rel Terpadu (LRT) Jabodebek. Meskipun telah resmi beroperasi sejak Agustus 2023 dan menunjukkan tren peningkatan jumlah pengguna, belum banyak kajian yang secara spesifik mengevaluasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi masyarakat dalam memilih moda transportasi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi preferensi faktor-faktor pemilihan moda menuju LRT Jabodebek Bekasi Line, serta mengidentifikasi karakteristik pelaku perjalanan dan pola pergerakan mereka sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan LRT. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskripsi kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian before after analyst. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei kuesioner terhadap 103 responden pengguna LRT, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif dan Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden adalah perempuan berusia 25-34 tahun, dengan alasan utama menggunakan LRT adalah untuk bekerja. Sebelum beralih ke LRT, sebagian besar responden menggunakan kendaraan pribadi terutama motor. Setelah menggunakan LRT, terjadi peningkatan efisiensi waktu perjalanan. Melalui analisis AHP, ditemukan bahwa faktor kenyamanan, keamanan, dan keselamatan merupakan tiga faktor yang paling memengaruhi keputusan pemilihan moda. Kelompok pengguna kendaraan pribadi lebih menekankan pada aspek keamanan dan keselamatan, sedangkan pengguna angkutan umum cenderung mengutamakan kenyamanan.  Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan bagi para pemangku kebijakan transportasi khususnya LRT dalam merancang strategi peningkatan pelayanan LRT, serta mendukung kebijakan peralihan moda menuju sistem transportasi publik yang lebih berkelanjutan dan terintegrasi.

Jabodebek is one of the largest metropolitan areas in Indonesia, experiencing rapid growth in both population and economic activity. Along with increased urban mobility, the use of private vehicles has also risen significantly, leading to severe traffic congestion and environmental pollution. To address these challenges, the government introduced the Jabodebek Light Rail Transit (LRT) as a rail-based public transportation alternative, aimed at offering a more efficient and sustainable urban mobility solution.
As part of efforts to reduce dependence on private vehicles and promote the use of sustainable mass transportation modes, the government developed the Jabodebek Integrated Rail Transit system. Although officially operating since August 2023 and showing an upward trend in user numbers, there have been few studies that specifically evaluate the factors influencing public preference for this mode of transport. This study aims to evaluate the preference factors affecting mode choice toward the Jabodebek LRT Bekasi Line, by identify the characteristics of travelers and their travel patterns before and after using the LRT. A descriptive quantitative research approach with before after design was used. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 103, then, data were analyzed by travel pattern characteristic of LRT users before and after using LRT the before and after analyzed were identified with t-test to gain different test of travel pattern LRT users. Synestia the influencing factor with AHP to gain the most important factors influencing shifting towards LRT from users point of view. The findings indicate that the majority of respondents are women aged 25–34 years, with commuting to work as the primary purpose of using the LRT. Prior to switching to the LRT, most respondents relied on private vehicles, particularly motorcycles. After switching, users experienced improved travel time efficiency. AHP analysis revealed that comfort, security, and safety were the top three factors influencing mode shifting. LRT users that were previously private vehicles users after they shifted to LRT, suggested security and safety, and comfort as the most important factor. While LRT users that were previously public transport users, after they shifted to LRT, suggested comfort, security, and safety as the most important factor. This research can serve as a reference for transportation policymakers, particularly in the context of the LRT, in designing strategies to improve LRT services and support mode shift policies toward a more sustainable and integrated public transportation system.
