Abstract

Along with the development of technology and the increasing demand from consumers, competition in the food manufacturing industry has become more intense, it is necessary to maintain competitiveness through the optimization of efficiency across various aspects, including inventory control. Inventory control is one of the key factors that presents a challenge in a company’s production process, especially during the multi-raw material procurement stage. This issue can be addressed by using the Integrated Procurement Production (IPP) model, which covers the entire process from raw material flow to finished products distributed to consumers. The objective of this model is to maximize profits by minimizing multi-raw material procurement costs and production costs. The IPP model was solved using three methods, Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP), Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO), and Improved Grey Wolf Optimizer (IGWO). The data used in this study were obtained from PT Wadah Pangan Makmur as a case study, covering the period from August 2024 to January 2025. The dataset includes production, raw material demand, raw material costs, transportation costs, processing costs, storage costs, frequency of finished product delivery, and selling prices. The results of the study show that the MILP method produced an optimal cost of 2.309.445.794, 00 IDR, while both GWO and IGWO methods yielded the same optimal total cost of 2.283.326.109, 70 IDR, which represents the combined cost of multi-raw material procurement and the production system. Regarding stopping criteria, the application of three types (N-rule, Cauchy, and a combination of both) resulted in slightly different objective function values, but the differences were not significant.
