Abstract

Blitar City has great potential to develop Patria Terminal into a modern and distinctive transportation hub. Patria Terminal has already implemented a mixed-use concept, integrating transportation, commercial, and social functions. However, the negative stigma attached to the terminal and the suboptimal implementation of the mixed-use concept pose significant challenges. The disparity in perceptions between the public and terminal management indicates the need for further development. Developing Patria Terminal into a smart bus station that adopts modern technology is the right solution to address these issues. With technology integration, the terminal can improve service efficiency, passenger comfort, and change public perception of public transportation. Additionally, by adopting the characteristics of Blitar City, the terminal can become a new icon that attracts tourists and supports local economic growth. The transformation of Patria Terminal into a smart bus station with the implementation of Blitar City tourism branding will have a significant positive impact. The terminal will not only serve as a transportation hub but also as a tourist information center, a center for economic activities, and a comfortable public space. Thus, Patria Terminal can optimize the mixed-use concept and contribute to better transportation development, increased tourist visits, and strengthening Blitar City's identity as a tourist city.
