Abstract

The three-phase induction motor is a critical component in industrial applications due to its robustness, simplicity, and efficiency. However, these motors’ nonlinear dynamics, parameter fluctuations, and external disturbances make precise position control difficult. Although Sliding Mode Control (SMC) is known for its resilience to these uncertainties, chattering affects system lifetime and performance. This study suggests combining SMC with Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) to reduce chattering and improve resilience and flexibility. MATLAB/Simulink simulations and experimental configurations will be used to design and validate the Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control (FSMC) technique. A strong and accurate position control system with less chattering and better disturbance rejection is one of the most anticipated results, which will help industrial motor control systems advance
