Abstract
Proses pengemasan Portland Composite Cement (PCC) di PT X menghadapi tantangan kualitas berupa kantong pecah, berat tidak sesuai standar, dan kerusakan fisik lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengendalikan kualitas pengemasan menggunakan metode Six Sigma dan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Melalui pendekatan DMAIC, analisis Laney p’ chart menunjukkan bahwa proses pengemasan di PT X belum berada dalam kendali statistik. Berdasarkan hasil FMEA, faktor material merupakan penyebab kegagalan paling kritis dengan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) tertinggi, diikuti oleh faktor mesin dan lingkungan. Faktor manusia memberikan kontribusi paling kecil terhadap risiko kegagalan. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya perbaikan menyeluruh pada kualitas material, pemeliharaan mesin, serta pengendalian lingkungan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan mutu pengemasan PCC. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan terpadu metode Six Sigma dan FMEA efektif dalam mengidentifikasi akar penyebab masalah dan menetapkan prioritas perbaikan secara sistematis.

The packaging process of Portland Composite Cement (PCC) at PT X faces quality challenges such as bag breakage, non-standard weight, and physical damage. This study aims to control packaging quality using the Six Sigma and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods. Through the DMAIC approach, Laney p’ chart analysis shows that the packaging process at PT X is statistically not in control. Based on FMEA results, material factors are the most critical causes of failure with the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN), followed by machine and environmental factors. Human factors contributed the least to the failure risk. These findings highlight the need for comprehensive improvements in material quality, machine maintenance, and environmental control to enhance the efficiency and quality of PCC packaging. The study demonstrates that the integrated application of Six Sigma and FMEA is effective in identifying root causes and systematically prioritizing corrective actions.
