Abstract

High mobility and the need to carry various items are major challenges for urban workers in DKI Jakarta. The multifunctional bag emerges as a solution that supports an active, efficient, and safe lifestyle. This final project designs a multifunctional bag that can adapt to the diverse activities of urban workers, ranging from walking, using public transportation, to cycling. The design process is carried out using a user centered design (UCD) approach, activity analysis, user preferences, and prototype testing to ensure comfort, practicality, and safety. The research results show that the multifunctional bag with quick access features, organized compartments, water-resistant materials, and a transformation system (tote bag, messenger bag, backpack, vest, hand bag, and bike bag) can meet the needs of urban workers. The designed product is expected to be a solution for urban workers who need one bag for various activities and to support the lifestyle of urban workers.
