Abstract

Dikenal sebagai ‘Kota Pahlawan’, Kota Surabaya sendiri memiliki beberapa wisata bersejarah yang dapat menjadi daya tarik wisatawan luar salah satunya adalah Kampung Heritage Peneleh yang merupakan salah satu kawasan yang menjadi saksi sejarah berdirinya Kota Surabaya dan dapat dikunjungi oleh wisatawan dengan berjalan kaki. Meski begitu, fasilitas publik khususnya street furniture yang ada pada Kampung Heritage Peneleh masih berjumlah terbatas dan desain produknya tidak merepresentasikan arti heritage pada kawasan ini sehingga diperlukan adanya perancangan mengenai street furniture tematik dengan mengadaptasi bangunan representatif Kampung Heritage Peneleh yakni gaya desain jengki. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini, penulis merancang tiga jenis street furniture yang adaptif terhadap kondisi lingkungan Kampung Heritage Peneleh diantaranya adalah sit-standing chair, information board, dan sit-standing chair+information board. Penulis melakukan metode pencarian data pendukung dengan observasi lingkungan untuk memahami kondisi lapangan serta mengetahui karakteristik bangunan representatif pada Kampung Heritage Peneleh, menganalisis kebutuhan pengguna, melakukan pendekatan desain ergonomis, hingga eksplorasi bentuk furnitur dengan gaya desain jengki. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi untuk meningkatkan aspek visual representatif melalui gaya desain street furniture yang diterapkan yang tentunya juga memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna. Tak hanya itu, perancangan street furniture yang telah dilakukan juga diharapkan dapat diimplementasikan pada tempat wisata heritage lain yang ada di Indonesia sehingga dapat menjadi identitas tersendiri dan menarik minat wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara untuk berwisata.

Known as the ‘City of Heroes’, Surabaya itself has several historical places that can attract tourists, such as Kampung Heritage Peneleh which is one of the areas that witnesses the history of the founding of Surabaya and can be visited by walk. Even so, public facilities, especially street furniture in Kampung Heritage Peneleh are still limited in number and the product design does not represent the meaning of heritage in this area so it is necessary to design thematic street furniture by adapting the representative building of Kampung Heritage Peneleh, namely the jengki design style. Therefore, in this research, the author designed three types of street furniture that are adaptive to the environmental conditions of Kampung Heritage Peneleh including sit-standing chairs, information boards, and sit-standing chairs + information boards. The author conducted a method of finding supporting data by observing the environment to understand the field conditions and the characteristics of representative buildings in Kampung Heritage Peneleh, analyzing user needs, taking an ergonomic design approach, and exploring the shape of furniture with a jengki design style. With this research, it is hoped that it can contribute to improving the representative visual aspects through the applied street furniture design style which of course also meets the user's needs.
