Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas proses perancangan dan pembuatan produk pencahayaan dinding berupa lampu sconces dengan memanfaatkan campuran material semen putih dan limbah kayu ulin dari industri. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah mengimplementasi teknik pembuatan terrazzo dengan mengganti isi agregat dengan sisa potongan maupun serbuk kayu ulin yang tidak terpakai lagi. Proses perancangan melibatkan campuran material untuk menghasilkan tekstur dan tampilan akhir menjadi terrazzo. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi material tersebut mampu memberikan kekuatan yang cukup serta tampilan visual yang menarik, menjadikan lampu sconces tidak hanya sebagai elemen fungsional tetapi juga sebagai bagian dari dekorasi ruang. Produk akhir menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan limbah kayu ulin dalam campuran terrazzo memberikan corak khas yang memperkaya bentuk dan visual desain.

This study discusses the design and development process of a wall lighting product in the form of sconce lamps, utilizing a mixture of white cement and industrial ironwood waste. The main objective of this research is to implement terrazzo-making techniques by replacing conventional aggregate materials with unused scraps and ironwood sawdust. The design process involves material mixing to produce a terrazzo-like texture and surface finish. The results of the study show that this material combination provides sufficient strength and an appealing visual appearance, making the sconce lamp not only a functional lighting element but also a decorative feature within interior spaces. The final product shows that the use of ironwood waste in the terrazzo mixture provides a distinctive pattern that enhances the form and visual appeal of the design.
