Abstract
SMA Kristen VITA School Surabaya, berdiri sejak tahun 1983, merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang berkomitmen untuk mencetak generasi muda yang cerdas, berkarakter, dan beriman. SMA VITA juga merupakan salah satu sekolah Indonesia swasta Kristen yang menerapkan sistem pembelajaran dengan referensi sekolah unggulan internasional. Aktivitas belajar-mengajar yang dilakukan setiap hariya di area sekolah memerlukan lingkungan dan kondisi yang aman dan nyaman untuk kegiatan aktivitas pembelajaran. Optimalisasi kualitas belajar-mengajar juga dibutuhkan untuk peningkatan kualitas siswa baik non akademis dan akademis, baik diluar sekolah maupun didalam lingkunan sekolah. Di SMA VITA, beberapa area di dalam fasilitas pembelajaran memiliki potensi untuk ditingkatkan dan dioptimalkan lebih lanjut. Fasilitas dan ruang yang optimal akan beroperasi secara optimal. Dengan menciptakan ruang yang optimal, ruang yang kurang optimal akan dikurangi dan digantikan dengan fasilitas dan ruang tambahan dengan fungsi yang jelas. Metode berpikir desain yang digunakan meliputi identifikasi masalah, tinjauan pustaka, observasi yang ada, wawancara pengguna, dan analisis kebutuhan ruang. Proses desain berfokus pada penciptaan ruang pembelajaran yang fleksibel, fungsional, dan estetis, dengan mempertimbangkan pencahayaan, ventilasi, sirkulasi, ergonomi, dan penerapan teknologi pendidikan. Gaya modern-internasional diterapkan melalui penggunaan bentuk-bentuk geometris sederhana dan palet warna netral dengan aksentuasi yang konsisten dengan identitas VITA. Desain ini menghasilkan ruang dan fasilitas yang mengoptimalkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui prinsip-prinsip bangunan hijau dan memenuhi norma konseptual modern-internasional tertentu dalam pencahayaan, sirkulasi, penempatan, dan ergonomi, yang dapat diimplementasikan selaras dengan identitas dan kebutuhan pengguna VITA.

VITA Christian High School Surabaya, established in 1983, is an educational institution committed to developing intelligent, character-driven, and faithful young people. VITA High School is also one of Indonesia's private Christian schools that implements a learning system modeled after leading international schools. Daily teaching and learning activities within the school grounds require a safe and comfortable environment and conditions for learning. Optimizing the quality of teaching and learning is also necessary to improve student achievement, both academically and non-academically, both outside and inside the school environment. At VITA High School, several areas within the learning facilities have potential for improvement and further optimization. Optimal facilities and spaces will ensure optimal operation. By creating optimal spaces, suboptimal spaces will be reduced and replaced with additional facilities and spaces with clear functions. The design thinking method used includes problem identification, literature review, existing observations, user interviews, and space requirements analysis. The design process focused on creating flexible, functional, and aesthetic learning spaces, taking into account lighting, ventilation, circulation, ergonomics, and the application of educational technology. A modern-international style is applied through the use of simple geometric shapes and a neutral color palette with accentuations consistent with VITA's identity. This design resulted in spaces and facilities that optimize learning quality and meet the norms of a modern-international concept that can be implemented in harmony with the identity and needs of VITA's users.
