Abstract

This research virtual-tour game using a hand glove enables hand movement interaction in a virtual environment. However, IMU sensors often suffer from orientation errors during extreme rotations, affecting accuracy. This study applies the Madgwick algorithm to enhance accuracy by fusing data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. Testing was conducted under two conditions: static (the hand glove remained stationary) and dynamic (the glove moved in specific directions), each using different beta values. The beta value functions as a sensitivity parameter for the sensor. Results showed that a beta of 0.1 was most optimal in static conditions, while a beta of 0.2 performed best under dynamic conditions. The effective data transmission range was up to 8 meters. This method has proven to improve the accuracy and stability of the hand glove in VR applications.
