Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi desain eksisting Jalan Tol Trans Sumatera Ruas Rengat–Pekanbaru, Seksi Lingkar Pekanbaru pada Jalan Akses IC Rimbo Panjang STA 0+000–1+325, sekaligus mengembangkan alternatif perencanaan dengan menggunakan material timbunan ringan berupa mortar busa. Lokasi penelitian memiliki lapisan tanah organik setebal 2,5–6 meter dengan muka air tanah tinggi, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan pemampatan besar dan permasalahan stabilitas timbunan. Desain awal menggunakan metode replacement, Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD), dan geotekstil, namun ditemukan beberapa kendala teknis serta biaya pelaksanaan yang tinggi. Penelitian ini melakukan analisis terhadap berbagai kombinasi timbunan tanah dan mortar busa untuk memenuhi kriteria penurunan (Sc < 2 cm/tahun dan Sc < 10 cm/10 tahun) serta faktor keamanan timbunan (SF ≥ 1,5). Pemodelan penurunan dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan konsolidasi primer dan sekunder berdasarkan model Gibson & Lo, sementara analisis stabilitas menggunakan metode keseimbangan batas dengan variasi perkuatan geotekstil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan kombinasi mortar busa mampu mengurangi penurunan sebesar 60–95% dan meningkatkan faktor keamanan sebesar 8–15% dibandingkan timbunan tanah konvensional. Dari sisi biaya, alternatif desain berupa kombinasi timbunan tanah dan mortar busa pada titik kritis menghasilkan penghematan sekitar 18% dibandingkan desain eksisting. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi teknis untuk optimalisasi desain timbunan pada proyek jalan tol di atas tanah organik, khususnya terkait pengendalian penurunan, peningkatan stabilitas, dan efisiensi biaya konstruksi.

This study aims to evaluate the existing design of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road, Rengat–Pekanbaru Section, at the Rimbo Panjang IC Access Road STA 0+000–1+325, and to develop alternative planning using lightweight embankment material in the form of foamed mortar. The study site consists of 2.5–6 m thick organic soil with a high groundwater table, posing significant challenges for long-term settlement and embankment stability. The initial design applied replacement, Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD), and geotextile reinforcement; however, several technical issues and high implementation costs were identified. This research analyzed multiple combinations of soil fill and foamed mortar to meet settlement criteria (Sc < 2 cm/year and Sc < 10 cm/10 years) and slope stability requirements (SF ≥ 1.5). Settlement modeling was carried out using primary and secondary consolidation approaches based on Gibson & Lo, while stability analysis employed the limit equilibrium method with geotextile reinforcement variations. The results indicate that incorporating foamed mortar combinations reduces settlement by 60–95% and improves the safety factor by 8–15% compared to conventional embankments. From a cost perspective, the most efficient alternative is the use of soil fill combined with foamed mortar at critical sections, resulting in approximately 18% cost savings compared to the existing design. This research provides technical recommendations for optimizing embankment design on organic soils, particularly in toll road projects, focusing on settlement control, stability enhancement, and construction cost efficiency.
