Abstract
Limbah kulit jeruk lemon (Citrus lemon Lynn) merupakan sumber biomassa yang melimpah namun belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi profil asam lemak tak jenuh ganda (PUFA) dari biomassa Thraustrochytrid yang dikultur menggunakan substrat limbah kulit jeruk lemon, dengan pendekatan analisis menggunakan spektroskopi Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) dan metode multivariate analysis. FTIR dipilih karena keunggulannya dalam melakukan analisis kimia secara cepat, non-destruktif, dan efisien. Thraustrochytrid diperoleh dan dikulturkan, kemudian dianalisis spektrum FTIR-nya untuk memprediksi kandungan PUFA melalui pembangunan model kalibrasi menggunakan Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) dengan berbagai metode pra-pemrosesan data spektral. ===================================================================================================================================
Lemon peel waste (Citrus lemon Lynn) is an abundant source of biomass that has not yet been optimally utilized. This study aims to detect the profile of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in Thraustrochytrid biomass cultured using lemon peel waste as a substrate, through analysis using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy combined with multivariate analysis methods. FTIR was selected due to its advantages in performing rapid, non-destructive, and efficient chemical analysis. Thraustrochytrid was isolated and cultured, and its FTIR spectra were analyzed to predict PUFA content by building a calibration model using Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) with various spectral preprocessing techniques. The results showed that FTIR combined with multivariate analysis can provide accurate predictions of PUFA content in the biomass.
