Abstract

Architecture is meant to benefit people and the environment. However, if in a space, architecture cannot provide interaction and diverse activities, then the role of architecture begins to disappear. This is caused by architecture that only prioritises form, especially in typologies such as residential. This is contrary to the Architectural Disjunction Theory proposed by Bernard Tschumi where architecture is not just a linear form with space, but more than that, there is a disjunction, an intersection between many events and movements in a space. Therefore, one of the relevances discovered by Tschumi himself plays an important role in this case, namely Transprogramming Architecture. A relevance that can combine contrasting programmes, resulting in its own meaning within an architecture. This design is a process that aims to experiment how in a resort, a conflict can occur that causes the definition and activities of a resort to not be static, so that it can be a space to accommodate the local context in Mandalika, and also the implementation of the Architectural Disjunction theory.
