Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada optimisasi layout kamar mesin kapal guna meningkatkan waktu evakuasi dalam situasi darurat dengan menerapkan prinsip ergonomi. Tujuan utamanya adalah menciptakan proses evakuasi yang lebih cepat dan aman, sekaligus mempertahankan kenyamanan serta kemudahan akses bagi kru yang bekerja di ruang terbatas. Studi ini menggunakan desain kapal tradisional sebagai studi kasus, dengan data layout yang dimodelkan dan dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Maxsurf, AutoCAD, dan Pathfinder. Penelitian dibagi menjadi dua tahap: tahap pertama menganalisis layout kamar mesin kapal tradisional yang masih memiliki berbagai permasalahan ergonomi dan keselamatan seperti jalur sempit, penempatan peralatan yang kurang tepat, dan terbatasnya akses evakuasi. Tahap kedua dilakukan dengan menerapkan perubahan layout untuk meningkatkan keteraturan ruang dan kemudahan akses. Untuk mendukung dan memvalidasi analisis ergonomi, digunakan metode logika fuzzy berbasis Microsoft Excel guna mengevaluasi tingkat kenyamanan kru berdasarkan parameter spasial seperti ruang gerak dan penempatan peralatan. Metode fuzzy ini membantu mengkuantifikasi tingkat kenyamanan dalam berbagai kondisi layout, serta memperkuat hubungan antara perbaikan ergonomis dengan percepatan waktu evakuasi.

This research focuses on optimizing the layout of a ship's engine room to improve evacuation time during emergency situations by incorporating ergonomic principles. The primary objective is to ensure a safer and faster evacuation process while maintaining comfort and accessibility for crew members working within confined spaces. The study uses a traditional ship design as a case study, with layout data modeled and analyzed through Maxsurf, AutoCAD, and Pathfinder software. The research is divided into two phases: the first examines the original layout of a traditional vessel’s engine room, which presents several ergonomic and safety issues such as narrow pathways, poorly positioned equipment, and limited evacuation routes. In the second phase, layout modifications are applied to improve spatial arrangement and accessibility. To support and validate the ergonomic analysis, fuzzy logic was implemented using Microsoft Excel to evaluate crew comfort based on spatial parameters such as movement space and equipment placement. The fuzzy method helped quantify comfort levels under varying layout conditions, reinforcing the relationship between ergonomic improvements and reduced evacuation time.
