Abstract

Pada equipment heat exchanger sering terjadi trip yang disebabkan oleh kebocoran pada tube maupun Control Valve Extraction Steam yang menyebabkan nilai perpindahan panas tidak mencapai setpoint. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem monitoring kinerja heat exchanger pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Metode OEE digunakan untuk mengukur efektivitas operasional heat exchanger dengan memperhatikan tiga parameter utama: availability, performance, dan quality. Simulasi monitoring dilakukan menggunakan software MATLAB, yang memungkinkan pemantauan kondisi heat exchanger secara real-time, serta perhitungan dan visualisasi nilai OEE dan parameter operasional lainnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai availability rata-rata selama tahun 2024 mencapai 87,53%, nilai performance sebesar 49,66%, dan nilai quality sebesar 53,62%. Berdasarkan nilai-nilai tersebut, nilai OEE rata-rata pada tahun 2024 hanya mencapai 24,78%, jauh di bawah standar industri yang diharapkan lebih dari 85%. Penurunan OEE disebabkan oleh rendahnya nilai performance dan quality, yang berkontribusi terhadap kerugian besar dalam kategori Reduce Speed Losses (RSL) dan Product Defect Losses (PDL). Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan untuk menerapkan pengoptimalan kondisi operasi contohnya membuka bukaan control valve steam lebih besar, dengan harapan transfer energi panas yang lebih besar, serta pembersihan rutin dapat membantu meminimalkan losses ini dan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional heat exchanger. Dengan langkah-langkah tersebut, diharapkan dapat meminimalisir nilai losses dan meningkatkan kinerja heat exchanger secara keseluruhan, serta mendekati standar OEE dunia (85%) yang lebih tinggi.

Trips frequently occur in the heat exchanger equipment due to leaks in the tubes or the Extraction Steam Control Valve, which cause the heat transfer value to not reach the setpoint. This research aims to design a monitoring system for the performance of heat exchangers in a Steam Power Plant (PLTU) using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. OEE is utilized to measure the operational effectiveness of the heat exchanger by considering three main parameters: availability, performance, and quality. The monitoring simulation is performed using MATLAB software, which allows real-time monitoring of the heat exchanger's condition, along with the calculation and visualization of OEE and other operational parameters. The analysis results show that the average availability value for the year 2024 is 87.53%, the performance value is 49.66%, and the quality value is 53.62%. Based on these values, the average OEE value for 2024 is only 24.78%, significantly below the expected industry standard of more than 85%. The decline in OEE is attributed to low performance and quality values, contributing to significant losses in the categories of Reduce Speed Losses (RSL) and Product Defect Losses (PDL). Based on these findings, it is recommended to implement preventive maintenance, routine cleaning to reduce fouling, and optimize operational parameters such as flow rate and temperature to improve the heat exchanger's performance. These measures are expected to minimize losses and enhance the overall performance of the heat exchanger, bringing it closer to the world-class OEE standard.
