Abstract

Alam telah berevolusi selama jutaan tahun, menciptakan solusi yang harmonis dan efisien
terhadap berbagai tantangan. Prinsip-prinsip biomimikri, yang meniru cara alam menyelesaikan
masalah, dapat diadaptasi untuk menjawab tantangan manusia, termasuk perubahan iklim dan
kenaikan permukaan air laut. Salah satu pendekatan inovatif adalah "amphibious architecture,"
yaitu konsep desain yang memungkinkan bangunan beradaptasi dengan perubahan kondisi air,
terinspirasi dari kemampuan adaptasi organisme amfibi. Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana
biomimikri dapat diterapkan dalam perancangan hunian tanggap banjir di daerah pesisir,
dengan fokus pada Jakarta Utara sebagai wilayah yang rentan terhadap banjir pada tahun 2050.
Dengan metode theory-based design, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi prinsip biomimikri untuk
meningkatkan adaptabilitas dan ketahanan bangunan terhadap perubahan lingkungan. Hasilnya
diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi arsitektur berkelanjutan yang tangguh menghadapi
dampak perubahan iklim.

Nature has evolved over millions of years, creating harmonious and efficient solutions to
various challenges. The principles of biomimicry, which mimic nature's problem-solving
methods, can be adapted to address human challenges, including climate change and sea level
rise. One innovative approach is "amphibious architecture," a design concept that allows
buildings to adapt to changing water conditions, inspired by the adaptability of amphibians.
This study analyzes how biomimicry can be applied in the design of flood-responsive housing
in coastal areas, focusing on North Jakarta, an area vulnerable to flooding in 2050. Using
theory-based design methods, this study explores the principles of biomimicry to improve the
adaptability and resilience of buildings to environmental changes. The results are expected to
provide sustainable architectural solutions that are resilient to the impacts of climate change.
