Abstract

Kawasan Braga di Bandung merupakan salah satu area kreatif paling ikonik di kota ini, dikenal karena keragaman nuansa historis dan aktivitas budayanya yang semarak. Meskipun memiliki potensi yang kuat, kawasan Braga menghadapi tantangan dalam mengoptimalkan ruang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan komunitas kreatifnya. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi intervensi creative placemaking di kawasan Braga untuk memperkuat perannya sebagai pusat seni dan budaya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan metode analisis konten, studi ini mengidentifikasi aktivitas kreatif serta merumuskan intervensi creative placemaking dari perspektif komunitas kreatif di sektor seni lukis, musik, dan kuliner. Temuan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan ruang kreatif yang inklusif, fleksibel, dan memiliki fasilitas memadai untuk mendukung aktivitas individu maupun kolaboratif. Rekomendasi dirumuskan untuk mendukung strategi penyediaan ruang yang selaras dengan prinsip creative placemaking, dengan tujuan memperkuat identitas Braga sebagai kawasan kreatif di Bandung.

The Braga area of Bandung is one of the most iconic creative area in the city, known for its diversity of historical nuances and vibrant cultural activity. Despite of the strong potential of Braga, the area faces challenges in optimizing the area to accommodate the needs of its creative communities. This research explores the interventions of creative placemaking in the Braga area to enhance its role as a center for art and cultural area. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and content analysis methods, this study identifies the creative activities and formulate the creative placemaking interventions from the perspective of creative communities in the painting, music, and culinary sectors. The findings of this reasearch emphasize the importance of developing an inclusive, flexible, and well-facilitated creative spaces that support both individual and collaborative activities. Recommendations are formulated to support space provision strategies aligned with creative placemaking principles, aiming to strengthen Braga's identity as a creative area in Bandung.
