Abstract

Karakteristik geokimia organik batubara GG-01, Formasi Walat yang berasal dari Cekungan Bogor, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat, dianalisis berdasarkan fraksi hidrokarbon aromatiknya. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode kromatografi gas - spektrometer massa (KG-SM) yang kemudian diidentifikasi berdasarkan fragmentogram massa, perbandingan spektrum massa ion dan pola waktu retensi tiap senyawa. Keberadaan kelompok senyawa, diantaranya naftalena, fenantrena, krisena, sesquiterpenoid aromatik, sesterterpenoid aromatik, pentasiklik triterpenoid aromatik, steroid triaromatik, heterosiklik aromatik, pirena, fluorantena, dan benzofluorena telah teridentifikasi dalam fraksi hidrokarbon aromatik sampel batubara GG-01. Dominannya sumber bahan organik yang berasal dari tumbuhan tingkat tinggi diketahui berdasarkan tingginya kelimpahan isomer 1,6-DMN dan 1-MP, keberadaan sesquiterpenoid aromatik serta pentasiklik triterpenoid aromatik. Masukan sumber bahan organik batubara GG-01 didominasi oleh produk hasil petrogenik dan masukan kecil pirogenik berdasarkan plot Fl/(Fl + Py) terhadap 1,7-DMP/(1,7 DMP + 2,6-DMP). Lingkungan pengendapan oksik serta kaya akan clay yang terjadi di daerah fluvial, delta, danau atau rawa payau-asin laut diketahui dengan keberadaan senyawa ionena, fluorena dan dibenzofurana. Melalui plot MPDFs dengan nilai F1=0,45, F2=0,26, %Ro=0,85% serta Isokadalena/(Isokadalena+kadalena)=0,4 dan TCR=0,5, batubara GG-01 telah mencapai kematangan termal dengan pembentukan hidrokarbonnya memasuki awal tahapan jendela minyak akhir pada zona katagenesis. Hasil analisis senyawa biomarka juga memberikan informasi bahwa batubara GG-01, Formasi Walat, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat termasuk dalam kategori kerogen tipe III, yang umumnya berasal dari bahan organik tumbuhan darat serta cenderung menghasilkan gas (gas prone).

The organic geochemical characteristics of GG-01 coal from the Walat Formation, originating from the Bogor Basin, Sukabumi, West Java, were analyzed based on its aromatic hydrocarbon fractions. The analysis was conducted using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), with identification based on mass fragmentograms, ion mass spectrum comparisons, and retention time patterns for each compound. The presence of compound groups, including naphthalene, phenanthrene, chrysene, aromatic sesquiterpenoids, aromatic sesterterpenoids, aromatic pentacyclic triterpenoids, triaromatic steroids, aromatic heterocycles, pyrene, fluoranthene, and benzofluorene, has been identified in the aromatic hydrocarbon fraction of the GG-01 coal sample. The dominance of organic material sources from higher plants is known based on the high abundance of 1,6-DMN and 1-MP isomers, the presence of aromatic sesquiterpenoids, and aromatic pentacyclic triterpenoids. The organic matter input of coal GG01 is dominated by petrogenic products and a small pyrogenic input based on the plot of Fl/(Fl + Py) against 1,7-DMP/(1,7 DMP + 2,6-DMP). The oxic deposition environment rich in clay that occurs in fluvial, delta, lake, or brackish-saltwater swamp areas is identified by the presence of ionene, fluorene, and dibenzofurane compounds. Through the MPDFs plot with F1=0.45, F2=0.26, %Ro=0.85% and Isocadalene/(Isocadalene+cadalene)=0.4 and TCR=0.5, GG-01 coal has reached thermal maturity with its hydrocarbon formation entering the early stages of the final oil window in the catagenesis zone. The results of biomarker compound analysis also indicate that GG-01 coal from the Walat Formation, Sukabumi, West Java, belongs to the type III kerogen category, which typically originates from terrestrial plant organic matter and tends to produce gas (gas-prone).
