Abstract

PT Indosat didirikan tahun 1967 berupa industri penanaman modal asing dengan penyedia jasa layanan telekomunikasi. Pada 2007 kepemilikan Indosat dijual sebesa 25% pada Asia Holdings Pte Ltd. ke Qatar Telecom Q.S.C. Pada tahun 2009 Qtel memiliki 65% saham Indosat yang mengakibatkan Qtel menjadi pemegang saham terbesar dari Indosat, sehingga nama perusahaan berubah menjadi Indosat Ooredoo. Tahun 2001 Indosat melakukan merger dengan Hutchison 3. Hasil merger kedua perusahaan ini menjadikan branding nama baru yaitu Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison. Hasil penggabungan tersebut dapat menciptakan perusahaan telekomunikasi digital dan internet kelas dunia baru bagi Indonesia yang dapat bersaing lebih baik dan menciptakan nilai tambah bagi semua pemangku kepentingan, termasuk karyawan, pelanggan, dan pemegang saham. PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison kini menjadi bisnis telekomunikasi seluler tersebsar kedua di Indonesia.

PT Indosat was established in 1967 as a foreign investment company providing telecommunications services. In 2007, a 25% stake in Indosat was sold by Asia Holdings Pte Ltd. to Qatar Telecom Q.S.C. In 2009, Qtel acquired a 65% stake in Indosat, making Qtel the largest shareholder of Indosat, resulting in the company's name being changed to Indosat Ooredoo. In 2001, Indosat merged with Hutchison 3. The merger of the two companies resulted in a new brand name, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison. This merger created a new world-class digital telecommunications and internet company for Indonesia that can compete more effectively and create added value for all stakeholders, including employees, customers, and shareholders. PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison is now the second-largest mobile telecommunications business in Indonesia.
