Abstract

Industri manufaktur di Indonesia memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam perekonomian negara ini. Sebagai sektor yang berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap PDB (Produk Domestik Bruto) dan penciptaan lapangan kerja. Salah satu proses manufaktur yang umum dilakukan adalah proses milling. Milling (Frais) adalah proses pemesinan dimana menggunakan alat berupa pisau untuk membuang sebagian material dari permukaan benda kerja dalam bentuk geram (chip) melalui perputaran pisau yang tegak lurus terhadap benda kerja, benda kerja yang diproses biasa berbentuk non silinder. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dalam penelitian ini dirancang sistem mekanikal mesin milling 4 axis yang berfungsi untuk melakukan proses milling pada empat sumbu untuk menghasilkan komponen dengan kompleksitas tinggi Dalam penelitian ini, spesifikasi alat yang digunakan untuk menyusun sistem mekanikal yaitu: Aluminium profile sebagai rangkaian pondasi mesin milling 4 axis, spindle berfungsi sebagai untuk meraut benda yang nantinya akan diuji. Pada mesin milling sistem mekanikalnya juga menggunakan Motor Stepper Nema 17 sebagai penggeraknya.

The manufacturing industry in Indonesia has a very important role in the economy of this country. As a sector that contributes significantly to GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and job creation. One of the common manufacturing processes is the milling process. Milling (Frais) is a machining process that uses a tool in the form of a knife to remove some of the material from the surface of the workpiece in the form of chips through the rotation of the knife perpendicular to the workpiece, the workpiece being processed is usually non-cylindrical. Based on these problems, in this study a 4-axis milling machine mechanical system was designed that functions to carry out the milling process on four axes to produce components with high complexity. In this study, the specifications of the tools used to compile the mechanical system are: Aluminum profile as a series of foundations for the 4-axis milling machine, the spindle functions as a sharpening object that will later be tested. In the milling machine the mechanical system also uses a Nema 17 Stepper Motor as its driver.
