Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan minyak mentah. PT XYZ menggunakan pompa turbin gas sebagai penggerak untuk memindahkan minyak mentah dari kilang penyimpanan ke kilang pengolahan. Sistem kontrol konvensional yang saat ini digunakan pada pompa turbin gas di kilang penyimpanan minyak mentah PT XYZ terminal Lawe-Lawe menggunakan sistem kontrol berbasis relay yang membutuhkan pembaruan sistem dikarenakan tidak tersedianya komponen pengganti apabila terjadi kerusakan serta sulitnya perbaikan yang dilakukan teknisi PT XYZ agar sistem pompa turbin gas tetap berjalan dengan normal. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pembaruan komponen kontrol sistem pompa turbin gas tipe Saturn-10 melalui retrofit dengan mengimplementasikan Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) redundant yang diintegrasikan dengan metode kontrol PID. Selain itu, sistem Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) dengan HMI digunakan untuk memantau dan mengontrol kinerja sistem secara real-time untuk memastikan operasi turbin yang aman. Metode kontrol PID dengan pendekatan Ziegler-Nichols tipe pertama digunakan untuk menjaga agar kecepatan dapat mencapai steady state di 72 % dan fungsi kontrol kecepatan untuk menaikkan kecepatan hingga 100 % (11522Hz, 22300 Rpm) serta menyesuaikan dengan beban dari turbin. Hasil respons sistem menunjukkan turbin dapat mencapai kecepatan di idle speed-nya di 72% dengan rise time selama 23.96 detik, overshoot hanya 0,72% dan steady state error di 0,01%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa metode PID dengan pendekatan Ziegler-Nichols mampu menjadi metode sistem kontrol pompa turbin gas.

PT XYZ is a company engaged in crude oil processing. PT XYZ uses gas turbine pumps as the driving force to transfer crude oil from the storage refinery to the processing refinery. The conventional control system currently used on the gas turbine pumps at PT XYZ's Lawe-Lawe crude oil storage terminal employs a relay-based control system that requires system updates due to the unavailability of replacement components in the event of damage, as well as the difficulty technicians at PT XYZ face in repairing the system to ensure the gas turbine pumps continue to operate normally. This research focuses on updating the control components of the Saturn-10 gas turbine pump system through retrofitting by implementing a redundant Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) integrated with PID control methods. Additionally, the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system with HMI are used to monitor and control system performance in real-time to ensure safe turbine operation. The PID control using the first-order Ziegler-Nichols tuning method is used to maintain the speed at a steady state of 72% and the speed control function to increase the speed to 100% (11,522 Hz, 22,300 RPM) in accordance with the turbine load. The system response results show that the turbine can reach its idle speed of 72% with a rise time of 23.96 seconds, an overshoot of only 0.72%, and a steady-state error of 0.01%. These results indicate that the PID method with the Ziegler-Nichols approach can serve as a control method for gas turbine pump systems.
