Abstract
Adsorpsi Cr(VI) menggunakan adsorben serbuk biji salak telah diteliti pada metode batch dan kolom. Biji salak dipreparasi hingga menjadi serbuk, dilanjutkan dengan pencucian dengan aqua DM dan metanol, dan pengayakan dengan variasi ukuran partikel 125, 180, 250 dan 425 um. Beberapa parameter variasi seperti pengaruh waktu kontak, konsentrasi larutan Cr(VI), ukuran partikel, laju alir dalam proses adsorpsi telah dipelajari untuk mendapatkan kondisi optimum adsorpsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adsorben serbuk biji salak dapat mengadsorpsi ion Cr(VI). Isoterm adsorpsi pada saat kesetimbangan lebih sesuai dengan pola isoterm Langmuir daripada pola isoterm adsorpsi Freundlich dan Breuneur-EmmetT eller. Konsentrasi ion logam pad a semua perlakuan ditentukan dengan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Kondisi optimum adsorpsi ion Cr(VI) diperoleh pada waktu kontak 60 menit dengan ukuran partikel 180 !Jm, konsentrasi ion logam 100 mg/L. Kapasitas penyerapan optimum ion Cr(VI) oleh serbuk biji salak adalah 0,59 mg/g

Adsorption of Cr(VI) using snake fruit seed powder adsorbent has been studied using batch and column methods. Snake fruit seeds were prepared into powder, followed by washing with DM aqua and methanol, and sieving with particle size variations of 125, 180, 250 and 425 μm. Several variation parameters such as the effect of contact time, Cr(VI) solution concentration, particle size, and flow rate in the adsorption process have been studied to obtain optimum adsorption conditions. The results showed that snake fruit seed powder adsorbent can adsorb Cr(VI) ions. The adsorption isotherm at equilibrium is more in accordance with the Langmuir isotherm pattern than the Freundlich and Breuneur-Emmet-Teller adsorption isotherm patterns. The concentration of metal ions in all treatments was determined using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. The optimum condition for Cr(VI) ion adsorption was obtained at a contact time of 60 minutes with a particle size of 180 μm, and a metal ion concentration of 100 mg/L. The optimum absorption capacity of Cr(VI) ions by snake fruit seed powder is 0.59 mg/g
