Abstract

The dire circumstances of fishermen's households, driven by the uncertain economic conditions of their families, often force women fishermen to be actively involved in productive activities, namely earning a living in anticipation of their husbands' inability to earn an income. To determine the alleged factors that influence women fishermen in meeting household needs, binary logistic regression can be used, where the data in this study are survey data on housewives of fishermen in the Tebul sub-district of Bangkalan. Individual binary logistic regression modeling of mothers with income shows that of the 9 predictor variables suspected to have an influence, there are 5 significant variables: Number of family members, mother's education level, children's highest education level, total expenditure, and food security. Simultaneous binary logistic regression modeling shows that the influential variables are mother's education level, children's highest education level, total expenditure, and food security
