Abstract

Kegagalan motor induksi sering disebabkan oleh kerusakan isolasi atau insulasi belitan stator. Menurut beberapa penelitian, buku panduan perawatan dan operasi motor listrik mengungkapkan bahwa proses terjadinya kerusakan pada sistem isolasi belitan stator tidak dapat dideteksi dengan pengujian resistansi isolasi, partial discharge maupun pengujian high potential. Pengujian surja menjadi salah satu solusi paling efektif dalam mendeteksi kerusakan sistem isolasi belitan antar fasa pada stator motor induksi. Kegagalan isolasi belitan stator amat berbahaya apabila tidak ditangani dengan baik karena proses kegagalannya tidak dapat terlihat saat motor induksi beroperasi. Proses kegagalan ini terjadi pada belitan awal dan dapat menimbulkan ketidakseimbangan medan pada motor sehingga dapat menyebabkan kerusakan seperti kegagalan bearing maupun rotor bar. Pada penelitian ini akan dirancang simulasi berbagai jenis kerusakan isolasi belitan stator dan akan diuji dengan perangkat pengujian surja yang dibuat secara custom dan telah teruji. Pada akhir penulisan juga akan diungkap analisa hasil pengujian serta pembahasan metode analisa dan faktor yang mempengaruhi pengujian surja. Sehingga nantinya dapat menjadi referensi dalam melakukan pengujian surja untuk mendeteksi kerusakan motor induksi maupun sebagai metode kontrol produksi pembuatan motor induksi.

Induction motor failures are often caused by damage to the insulation or the stator winding insulation . According to some research and manual guideline and electric motor operation revealed that the occurrence of damage to the stator winding insulation system can not be detected by the insulation resistance testing , partial discharge and high potential testing . Surge test is to be one of the most effective solution in detecting damage to the insulation system between the phase-to-phase windings on the stator induction motor . Stator winding insulation failure is very dangerous if not handled properly because the failure can not be seen when the induction motor operates . This failure occurs in the beginning of stator winding and can cause imbalance in the field so that the motor can cause damage such as bearing failure or rotor bars . This research will be designed various simulation of types of stator winding insulation damage and will be tested with the surge testing device that is custom and has been tested . At the end of the writing also will be revealed analyzing test results and discussion of methods of analysis and factors affecting surge testing . So that may be a reference to the surge testing to detect damage and induction motors as a method of quality control in induction motor manufacturing .
