Abstract

Stasiun Gubeng menjadi stasiun kereta api (KA) terbesar di Surabaya. Stasiun tersebut juga menjadi tempat keberangkatan KA utama dari Kota Surabaya, khususnya dari jalur selatan. Stasiun Gubeng sendiri berdiri dibawah PT KAI yang merupakah salah satu BUMN yang memiiki kewajiban memberikan layanan transportasi masal pada masyarakat Indonesia seluasluasnya. Sebagai bagian dari BUMN, PT KAI harus bisa menyumbangkan deviden/keuntungan usaha untuk negara. Namun demikian PT KAI tetap mengemban tugas obligasi negara untuk menyelenggarakan angkutan bersubsidi atau disebut dengan PSO (Public Service Obligation). Objek desain merupakan Stasiun Gubeng Baru memiiki letak cukup strategis pada pusat kota. Untuk itu re-desain stasiun bertujuan menghadirkan mendekatan Transit Oriented Development (TOD) pada stasiun kereta api. Selain mengurangi kemacetan dan upaya menjaga lingkungan, TOD juga meningkatkan perekonomian area stasiun dan sekitarnya. Penambahan fasilitas komersial pada stasiun sebagai pendukung perjalanan merupakan salah satu upaya meningkatkan pelayanan stasiun. Sebagai upaya memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna dengan menghadirkan kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana menggunakan konsep desain modern sebagau upaya meningkatkan kenyamanan pengguna. Penerapan konsep desain diaplikasikan dengan penggunaan material clean look dan tampak elegan yang dipadukan dengan pemilihan warna netral serta penggunaan signage interaktif, digital self service.

Gubeng Station became the largest (KA) train station in Surabaya. The station is also the main KA departure from Surabaya City, specifically from the southern line. Gubeng Station itself stands under PT KAI which is one of the SOEs that irrigates the obligation to provide mass transportation services to the Indonesian people as widely as possible. As part of SOEs, PT KAI must be able to contribute business dividends / benefits to the country. However, PT KAI continues to carry out the duty of state bonds to carry out subsidized transportation or is called PSO (Public Service Obligation). The design object is the New Gang Station which is quite strategic in the city center. For this reason, the station's re-design aims to bring the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) to the train station. In addition to reducing congestion and efforts to protect the environment, TOD also improves the economy of the station area and its surroundings. The addition of commercial facilities to the station as a travel supporter is one of the efforts to improve station services. As an effort to meet the needs of users by presenting the completeness of the facilities and infrastructure using the modern design concept of the0au effort to improve user comfort. The application of the design concept is applied with the use of clean look and elegant looking materials combined with neutral color selection and the use of interactive, digital self service signage.
