Abstract

Surabaya merupakan kota yang menjadi poros maritim di Indonesia. Sehingga kota Surabaya memiliki potensi yang besar pada kemaritiman khususnya di bidang industri perikanan. Pusat kemaritiman di Surabaya terletak di daerah utara kota tepatnya pada pesisir pantai Kenjeran. Pemerintah Kota Surabaya membentuk sebuah sarana yang mewadahi masyarakat pada proses jual-beli sekaligus perkembangan ekonomi nelayan atau pedagang ikan di sekitarnya dengan membentuk Sentra Ikan Bulak (SIB). Sentra Ikan Bulak telah beroperasi selama hampir satu dekade, namun masih dianggap kurang mampu mengumpulkan pedagang dan pengunjung per harinya. Menurut data lapangan, kurang dari 10% kios saja yang buka. Perancangan ini dibuat dengan tujuan sebagai jawaban dari permasalahan tersebut, yaitu untuk meningkatkan nilai jual dari hasil produksi perikanan di sekitar area Bulak dengan fasilitas yang memadai. Peningkatan nilai dari Sentra Ikan Bulak ini diharapkan mampu menarik minat pedagang serta meningkatnya jumlah kunjungan wisatawan. Metodologi yang diterapkan pada perancangan ini dilakukan dengan observasi lapangan dan studi literatur dengan topik yang berkaitan. Tujuan perancangan dan ideasi konsep Edukasi Minawisata ini diharapkan mampu mewadahi sebagian besar potensi sumber daya yang ada di lapangan baik sumber daya alam dan manusia yang ada di sekitar objek terkait, seperti aktivitas pengolahan hasil tangkapan laut atau potensi jual dari para nelayan sekitar. Hasil dari perancangan ulang ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan redesain maupun inovasi bagi berkembangnya sarana Sentra Ikan Bulak Surabaya maupun sentra ikan modern pada wilayah-wilayah lain.

Surabaya defined as a maritime axis in Indonesia. The city of Surabaya has great potential in maritime, especially in the fishing industry. The maritime center in Surabaya is located in the northern area of the city, precisely on the Kenjeran coast. The Surabaya City Government has formed a facility that accommodates the community in the buying and selling process as well as the economic development of fishermen or fish traders in the vicinity by forming the Bulak Fish Center. The Bulak Fish Center has been operating for almost a decade, but is still considered insufficient to gather traders and visitors per day. According to field data, only less than 10% of kiosks are open. This design was made with the aim of responding to these problems, namely to increase the selling value of fishery products around the Bulak area with adequate facilities. The increase in the value of the Bulak Fish Center is expected to be able to attract traders and increase the number of tourist visits. The methodology applied to this design is carried out by field observations and literature studies on related topics. The purpose of the design and ideation of the Minawisata Education concept is expected to be able to accommodate most of the potential resources in the field, both natural and human resources around related objects, such as processing activities of marine catches or selling potential from local fishermen. The results of this redesign are expected to be a reference for redesign and innovation for the development of the Surabaya Bulak Fish Center and modern fish centers in other areas.
