Abstract

Asset management in the oil and gas industry involves complex business processes, ranging from the design stage to operational field inspections. PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) faces challenges in project document management, which is still carried out manually, as well as the need to visit the field even when detailed asset inspections are not required. To address these issues, an automation system based on artificial intelligence (AI) and image processing was developed to improve efficiency and accuracy in the QA/QC document process, along with a virtual tour as an alternative medium that PHR can use to showcase physical assets virtually. The implementation and testing of both components showed positive results. The QA/QC automation system successfully validated documents with a document number detection accuracy of 93.67%, demonstrating its ability to improve efficiency and accuracy. The virtual tour prototype was also successfully validated as a functional, safe, and efficient remote inspection platform.
