Abstract
Pondok pesantren merupakan salah satu organisasi
pendidikan berbasis Islami yang dari masa ke masa mulai
mengalami perkembangan dari yang berbasis tradisional
hingga ke tahap penerapan teknologi informasi. Namun
peranan teknologi informasi di kalangan pesantren saat ini
belum secara rata diterapkan, dikarenakan tingkat adopsi
di kalangan pondok pesantren bisa lebih rumit dari
kelompok masyarakat lainnya dikarenakan adanya faktor
tradisi dan nilai-nilai agama di dalamnya. Tantangan yang harus dihadapi oleh pondok pesantren saat ini salah satunya adalah tentang sumber daya manusia, aksesbilitas, dan networking. Sumber daya manusia di lingkungan pondok pesantren khususnya para guru/ustadz perlu diadakannya sebuah peningkatan keilmuan di bidang teknologi untuk menunjang keefektifan proses belajar mengajar santri. Selain itu, hal tersebut perlu dilakukan agar para guru/ustadz dapat bersaing dan mengikuti pengembangan informasi di era globalisasi seperti saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan potret atau gambaran tentang kondisi karakteristik beserta komposisi para guru/ustadz berdasarkan kategori adopter teknologi informasi di lingkungan pondok pesantren, dengan mengambil studi kasus pondok pesantren x, y, z di Surabaya dengan mengacu pada teori Diffusion of Innovation oleh Rogers M. Evereet.
Hasil dari penelitian ini akan ditujukan kepada pihak
pengelola pondok pesantren guna memberikan gambaran
tentang keinovasian kondisi internal para guru/ustadz
akan adanya teknologi informasi di pondok pesantren,
serta membantu merekomendasikan metode yang terkait
dengan peningkatan karakteristik guru/ustadz akan
adopsi teknologi informasi di pondok pesantren.

Islamic Boarding school is one of the educational
organization based on islam religion that time by time began
to development structure from the traditional base to the stage of impelemntation application of information technology. However, the role of information technology in the islamic boarding schools area especially today is not evenly applied, because the level of adoption technology among islamic boarding schools can be more complicated than other communities/society because there are some factor of
traditions and religious values in them. Today, One of the Challenges to be faced by the islamic boarding school is about human resources, accessibility, and networking. Human resources in the islamic boarding school area, especially teachers / ustadz need learning program about technology, in order to support the effectiveness from the learning process to students. In addition, it is necessary
that the teacher / ustadz can compete and follow the
development of information technology in the globalization
era. This research purpose to give the portrait or image of
the characteristics condition, and also show the
composition of the teacher / ustadz by category
adopter of information technology in the islamic
boarding school area, with a case study in islamic
boarding x, y, z in Surabaya with reference to the
theory Diffusion of Innovation by Rogers M . Evereet.
Results from this research will be addressed to
manager/organizer of the islamic boarding school in
order to give an idea/image about the innovation
condition level of the teacher / ustadz about existence
from information technology in the islamic boarding
school area, and it hopeable to give the
recommendation method that have concern with the
improvement characteristics of the teacher / ustadz
about the adoption information technology in the
islamic boarding school area.
