Abstract

This study discusses the effect of variations in motion input on the characteristics of soil amplification and seismic waves on the surface. The soil profile at the location obtained from the N-SPT data was then carried out with a Ground Response Analysis. The first review, synthetic waves used as motion input are made with variations in peak ground acceleration (PGA) with the same phase. The variations of PGA used were 0.01 g, 0.05 g, 0.1 g, 0.15 g, 0.2 g. In the second review, five synthetic and observed waves were made with phase variations with the same PGA. The parameters used are Fourrier Amplitude Ratio (FAR), PSA (Pseudo Spectral Acceleration), PGA (Peak Ground Acceleration), PGV (Peak Ground Velocity), and PGD (Peak Ground Displacement). In the PGA variation, it is found that the greater the PGA input variation, the greater the FAR, PSA, PGA output, PGV, and PGD. In the phase variation, it was found that there was no significant difference in FAR, no correlation was found between the phases and PSA, PGA, PGV, and PGD. In the variation of characteristics, it was found that the higher the frequency, the greater the FAR, the lower the PGV, the greater the PGD. No correlation was found in PSA and PGD
