Abstract
Panas yang diterima dari proses pengelasan paduan aluminium 2024 dapat merubah struktur milcro dan sifat mekaniknya. Sementara itu paduan aluminium 2024 yang ada di pasaran umumnya telah mengalami perlakuan panas seperti solution treatment, natural aging, dan artificial aging. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mensimulasikan proses pengelasan dengan melakukan pemanasan lokal terhadap paduan aluminium 2024 yang telah mengalami variasi perlakuan panas. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengelasan TIG terhadap paduan aluminium 2024 tanpa logam pengisi. Penelitian ini mempunyai beberapa variasi proses, yaitu variasi perlakuan panas, serta variasi waktu aging. Analisa terhadap has if akhir eksperimen dilakukan dengan mengamati material secara mikro dan makro serta melakukan uji kekerasan dengan menggunakan Vickers microhardness test. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini untuk semua kondisi perlakuan panas diperoleh penurunan kekerasan pada logam las, dan pada HAZ terjadi peningkatan kekerasan. Untuk kondisi natural aging dan artificial aging diperoleh hubungan peningkatan kekerasan yang berbanding lurus dengan waktu aging diterimanya

The heat received from the 2024 aluminum alloy welding process can change the microstructure and its mechanical properties. Meanwhile, the 2024 aluminum alloy on the market has generally undergone heat treatments such as solution treatment, natural aging, and artificial aging. The purpose of this study is to simulate the welding process by applying local heating to the 2024 aluminum alloy that has undergone various heat treatments. In this study, TIG welding was carried out on the 2024 aluminum alloy without filler metal. This study has several process variations, namely variations in heat treatment, and variations in aging time. Analysis of the final results of the experiment was carried out by observing the material at the micro and macro levels and conducting hardness tests using the Vickers microhardness test. The results obtained in this study for all heat treatment conditions showed a decrease in hardness in the weld metal, and an increase in hardness in the HAZ. For natural aging and artificial aging conditions, a relationship of increasing hardness was obtained that was directly proportional to the aging time received
