Abstract
Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi saat ini mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat besar di dunia industri yang menuntut setiap industri harus mengembangkan teknologinya agar mampu bersaing di pasaran dunia. Salah satu alat yang sangat banyak digunakan di industri yaitu heat exchanger atau penukar panas pun tumt dikembangkan dalam rangka memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Salah satu tipe penukar panas yang sangat luas penggunaannya adalah tipe shell and tube (shell and tube heat exchanger). Tipe ini terdiri dari cangkang, selongsong, dan baffle bempa pembatas yang tersusun dengan pola tertentu. Pemberian baffle mempunyai banyak tujuan, salah satunya sebagai penyangga yang juga mempakan fungsi utama dari baffle tipe rod Rodbcif.lle berupa kawat baja silindris yang tersusun berdasarkan pola tertentu. Dalam percobaan yang dilakukan pada penukar panas tipe shell and tube menggunakan bcif.lle jenis rod didapatkan data temperatur, tekanan, dari debit yang divariasikan yaitu untuk .fluida dingin dari 100 /ph sampai 600 /ph dengan kenaikan 50 /ph dan.fluida panas dari 100 /ph sampai 300 /ph dengan kenaikan 50 /ph. Beda sudut antara susunan rod yang satu dengan susunan rod berikutnya (C/J) bervariasi 45°, 60°, dan 9if dan menggunakan air sebagai .fluida kerja. Pada bilangan Reynolds .fluida dingin yang sama tetapi dimensi dan geometri yang berbeda, unjuk kerja pem1kar panas <P 90° paling efektif. Untuk dimensi sama tetapi berbeda geometri, penukar pana'> <P 45° lebih efektif daripada rP 60°. The development of science and technology currently has a very large influence in the industrial world which demands that every industry must develop its technology in order to be able to compete in the world market. One of the tools that is very widely used in industry, namely heat exchangers, has also been developed in order to meet these needs. One type of heat exchanger that is very widely used is the shell and tube type (shell and tube heat exchanger). This type consists of a shell, a sleeve, and a baffle as a boundary that is arranged in a certain pattern. The provision of baffles has many purposes, one of which is as a support which is also the main function of the rod type baffle Rodbcif.lle in the form of cylindrical steel wires arranged in a certain pattern. In experiments conducted on shell and tube type heat exchangers using rod type bcif.lle obtained temperature, pressure, and varied discharge data, namely for cold fluids from 100 /ph to 600 /ph with an increase of 50 /ph and hot fluids from 100 /ph to 300 /ph with an increase of 50 /ph. The angle difference between one rod arrangement and the next (C/J) varies 45°, 60°, and 9if and uses water as the working fluid. At the same Reynolds number of cold fluid but different dimensions and geometries, the performance of the heat exchanger <P 90° is most effective. For the same dimensions but different geometries, the heat exchanger > <P 45° is more effective than rP 60°.
