Abstract

Banyak petani dan masyarakat belum sepenuhnya mengerti tentang basil sisa pengolahan pertanian dan sampah yang ada disekitarnya dapat dimanfaatkan kembali. Jerami sisa hasil perontokan padi tersebut dapat kita daur ulang dan dimanfaatkan kembali menjadi pupuk yang akan dapat menambah pendapatan. Dalam proyek togas akhir ini dibuat suatu alat pemotong jerami dengan rerencanaan dimensi alat, piringan, pisau serta motor yang akan digunakan. Dimana akan dilakukari perhitungan besar daya motor, pemilihan bahan poros, pasak serta dilakukan pengujian, agar diperoleh basil dan unjuk kerja yang optimal. Setelah dilakukan perencanaan, perhitungan dan uji coba didapatkan besar daya motor 2 Hp dengan putaran motor sebesar 1500 Rpm, bahan poros yang digunakan baja karbon (RS G 4501) S45C dengan diameter 20 mm = 2,0 cm. dan bahan pasak AISI 1010 CD dengan Syp = 68 Ksi = 68000 Psi. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan Iebar potongan rata-rata sebesar 2,5 cm

Many farmers and communities do not fully understand that the remaining results of agricultural processing and waste around them can be reused. The remaining straw from threshing rice can be recycled and reused as fertilizer which will increase income. In this final project, a straw cutting tool was made with the planned dimensions of the tool, disc, knife and motor to be used. Where the calculation of the motor power, selection of shaft materials, dowels and testing will be carried out, in order to obtain optimal results and performance. After planning, calculations and testing, the motor power was obtained at 2 Hp with a motor rotation of 1500 Rpm, the shaft material used was carbon steel (RS G 4501) S45C with a diameter of 20 mm = 2.0 cm. and dowel material AISI 1010 CD with Syp = 68 Ksi = 68000 Psi. From the test results, the average cut width was 2.5 cm
