Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi persaingan global yang sangat ketat, sehingga setiap perusahaan atau organisasi harus berkerja bersama-sama secara optimal untuk dapat terus berkembang. Terutama pada perbankan yang menjadi pillar penting dalam perekonomian negara. Peneliti memilik PT Bank X yang bertempat di bangkinang karena merupakan satu-satunya bank X yang beroperasi pada kota tersebut dan menjadikan PT Bank X memiliki peran penting dalam kemajuan perekonomian dan kemakmuran dari kota bangkinang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris dari pengaruh implementasi Total Quality Management terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Bank X. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perbaikan berkelanjutan, komitmen jangka panjang, pemberdayaan karyawan, pendidikan dan pelatihan, dan kerjasama tim. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 responden yang sudah bekerja selama lebih dari 1 tahun di Bank X. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan uji regresi linier berganda. Hasil dari pengujian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa variabel perbaikan berkelanjutan, komitmen jangka panjang, pemberdayaan karyawan, pendidikan dan pelatihan, dan kerjasama tim memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan secara simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan dan memiliki tingkat pengaruh sebesar 75,5%. Akan tetapi penerapan perusahaan terhadap variabel perbaikan berkelanjutan, komitmen jangka panjang, pemberdayaan karyawan, dan pendidikan dan pelatihan masih belum baik sehingga peneliti merekomendasikan beberapa hal yang dapat dilakukan oleh PT Bank X untuk memaksimalkan variabel tersebut.

This research is motivated by conditions of a very tight global competition, so that every company or organization must work together optimally to be able to continue to grow. Especially in banking which is an important pillar in the country's economy. The researcher chooses PT Bank X which is located in Bangkinang because it is the only X Bank that operates in the city and makes PT Bank X have an important role in the economic progress and prosperity of Bangkinang City. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of the effect of the implementation of Total Quality Management on employee performance at PT Bank X. The variables used in this study are continuous improvement, long-term commitment, employee empowerment, education and training, and teamwork. The sample in this study amounted to 20 respondents who have worked for more than 1 year at Bank X. Data analysis in this research is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression test. The results of the tests that have been carried out show that the variables of continuous improvement, long-term commitment, employee empowerment, education and training, and teamwork have a simultaneous significant effect on employee performance and have an influence level of 75.5%. However, the company's implementation of the variables of continuous improvement, long-term commitment, employee empowerment, and education and training is still not good so that researchers recommend several things that can be done by PT Bank X to maximize these variables.
