Abstract
Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surabaya merupakan instansi pemerintah yang bertanggung jawab tentang hal yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan di Kota Surabaya. Dalam proses penerimaan calon murid baru, Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surabaya menghadapi tantangan dalam mengelola pendaftaran secara efesien dan memastikan akses sistem yang stabil dan lancar. Produk yang kami kerjakan saat melakukan Kerja Praktik adalah SPMB (Sistem Penerimaan Murid Baru), yaitu sistem penerimaan murid baru yang membantu calon murid baru untuk memilih SD atau SMP tujuan secara daring. Aplikasi dibuat dengan menggunakan framework Laravel dan memiliki beberapa fitur, beberapa diantaranya adalah pendaftaran murid, informasi pelaksanaan SPMB, dan hasil perangkingan. Kami diminta untuk menyiapkan arsitektur yang tepat agar sistem dapat diakses oleh masyarakat dengan kendala seminimal mungkin. Sistem ini menggunakan metode load balancing dengan bantuan webserver NGINX, ProxySQL, dan database MySQL.

Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surabaya is a government agency responsible for matters related to education in the city of Surabaya. In the process of accepting new students, Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surabaya faces challenges in managing registrations efficiently and ensuring stable and smooth system access. The product we worked on during our internship was SPMB (Sistem Penerimaan Murid Baru), a new student admission system that helps prospective new students choose their desired elementary or junior high school online. The application was built using the Laravel framework and includes several features, such as student registration, information on the SPMB process, and ranking results. We were tasked with designing an appropriate architecture to ensure the system could be accessed by the public with minimal constraints. The system utilizes load balancing methods with the assistance of the NGINX web server, ProxySQL, and a MySQL database.
