Abstract
Biodiesel minyak jarak pagar (jaropha Curcas)  merupakan bahan bakar alternatif untuk mesin diesel  yang ramah lingktmgan dan dapat diperhaharui. Studi eksperimen pada mesin diesel dengan keinginan  mengetahui pengaruh bahan bahan bakar  biodiesel Jatropha Curcas dan solar terhadap unjuk kerja dan kadar jelaga pada mesin diesel kamma. Pengujian dilakukan  dilab Motor Bakar Teknik  Mesin ITS pada mesin diesel Kama yang Ielah dilengkapi dengan water brake Dynamometer dan Opacity meter. Enam macam campuran  bahan bakar 5%:95%, 10%:90%, 15%:85%, 20%:80%, 25%:75% dan 30%:70% (volume:volume) biodiesei Jatropha Curcas  dan Solar akan dievaluasi  dan dibandingkan dengan solar menurut torsi, daya. bmep, effisiensi thermal, bsfc, A/F dan kadar jelaga dihasilkan oleh mesin pada putaran konstan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan  Daya menurun 1.659%, 5.044%, 6.073%, 9.327%, 10.603% dan 12.791%.. Bsfc naik 4.051%, 11.381%, 13.875%, 21.413% dm1 27.326%. Kadar jelaga mengalami pem1ru11011 4.796%, 18.024%, /8.953%, 22.413%, 25.295% dan 26.034%. Dari Ice 6 macam campuran bahan bakar biodiesel Jatropha Curcas pada solar, campuran B5 merupakan  campuran yang terbaik karena Torsi dan Daya yang dihasilkan hanya turun  1.659% sedangkan Bsfcnya hanya naik 4%

Jatropha Curcas biodiesel is an environmentally friendly and renewable alternative fuel for diesel engines. Experimental studies on diesel engines aim to determine the effect of Jatropha Curcas biodiesel and diesel fuel on the performance and soot levels of Kamma diesel engines. Testing was conducted in the ITS Mechanical Engineering Combustion Engine lab on a Kama diesel engine equipped with a water brake dynamometer and opacity meter. Six types of fuel mixtures of 5%:95%, 10%:90%, 15%:85%, 20%:80%, 25%:75% and 30%:70% (volume:volume) Jatropha Curcas biodiesel and diesel fuel will be evaluated and compared with diesel fuel according to torque, power, bmep, thermal efficiency, bsfc, A/F and soot levels produced by the engine at constant speed. The results showed a decrease in power decreased by 1,659%, 5,044%, 6,073%, 9,327%, 10,603% and 12,791%. Bsfc increased by 4,051%, 11,381%, 13,875%, 21,413% dm1 27,326%. Soot levels experienced pem1ru11011 4,796%, 18,024%, /8,953%, 22,413%, 25,295% and 26,034%. Of the 6 types of Jatropha Curcas biodiesel fuel blends in diesel, the B5 blend is the best blend because the resulting Torque and Power only decreased by 1.659% while the BSFC only increased by 4%
