Abstract
Penggunaan rele arus lebih (overcurrent relay) pada sistem proteksi kelistrikan industri memerlukan pengaturan parameter penting, seperti time dial setting (TDS). Dalam melakukan pengaturan TDS, diperlukan penentuan waktu yang tepat untuk memastikan keandalan sistem proteksi terhadap suatu gangguan. Perhitungan nilai waktu TDS umumnya dilakukan secara manual. Perhitungan manual berpotensi menimbulkan risiko kesalahan hitung dan kurang efisien. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini dilakukan perhitungan TDS dengan menerapkan metode Modified Adaptive Particle Swarm Optimization (MAPSO). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh perhitungan TDS rele arus lebih waktu inverse secara optimal dan efisien. Studi dilakukan pada sistem kelistrikan PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur 1B dengan membandingkan hasil perhitungan TDS secara manual dan hasil optimasi menggunakan algoritma MAPSO, guna mendapatkan setting proteksi yang akurat dan andal. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa nilai TDS yang dihasilkan oleh algoritma MAPSO mendekati hasil manual dan tetap memenuhi kriteria koordinasi proteksi, sehingga dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam pengaturan sistem proteksi di perusahaan.

The use of overcurrent relays in industrial electrical protection systems requires careful adjustment of key parameters, such as the Time Dial Setting (TDS). Accurate determination of TDS is essential to ensure the reliability of protection systems during fault conditions. Manual TDS calculations are commonly used but can be prone to calculation errors and inefficiency. Therefore, this study proposes the use of the Modified Adaptive Particle Swarm Optimization (MAPSO) algorithm to determine optimal TDS values. The objective is to obtain optimal and efficient inverse-time TDS settings for overcurrent relays. The study was conducted on the electrical system of PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur 1B by comparing the results of manual TDS calculations with those obtained using the MAPSO algorithm, in order to achieve accurate and reliable protection settings. The results show that the TDS values produced by MAPSO closely match the manual calculations and still satisfy the coordination protection criteria, making it a promising alternative for protection system configuration in industrial settings.
