Abstract

Onshore Pipeline Transport is a transportation of goods through a pipe by an onshore route. Most commonly, liquid and gases are sent. Along the route, pipeline does not have a constant environmental condition over its entire length. As conditions along the line's route change, so does the reliability. The objective of this reliability is to calculate Safety Index value (13). The object of this study is pipeline transporting crude oil starting from Manifold Pangkalan Batu to Manifold loading tank/PPP Pangkalan Susu, placed on Rantau, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD). The total length of the pipeline is 64 kilo meters which divided into 64 segments. Mean Value First Order Second Moment (MVFOSM) method will be applied for this study. Mean value estimates for more complex failure functions can be analysed by expanding the function as a Taylor series about the mean values of the random variables. The output of reliability analysis is safety index value for each segment and Time estimation to achieve Probability of Failure of the pipeline
